When asked about costs,…read moreJohn Andrade responded that stump grinding was $4/inch and not to worry , that they would take care of us. Two workers arrived and ground the stump and repaired the fence. The bill was submitted for $1800 for stump grinding and $500 for fence repair. Neither joSb was completed satisfactorily. I contacted John and he came with a second group that corrected the problems. When asked about the high price for Stump grinding, John gave several explanations that made no sense. After much discussion, he finally agreed to rebate $900 in two weeks. That was 3 weeks ago. He has not responded to my texts and my phone calls to him go to voice mail.

He took $400 off of his quote. Instead of removing branches, the tree was trimmed. Eventually, what was trimmed is going to die and fall. Why would I want a branch with no leaves to stick out. It was also agreed upon that the branches would be cut into sizes that would fit into a fireplace. Needless to say, I will need to fire up my chainsaw to finish the job. Would not recommend this tree service. Two different workers did apologize after we complained about the job. I have a hard time attaching a dollar value on apologies.

They trimmed dead branches off of 4 big oak trees, cleaned the debris off my roof and lawn, and hauled it away within 2 hours. They communicated well with me before, during and after the job. The team worked safely and very well together. I confirmed that they have insurance for liability and workers comp. I am very happy with their work. No more worrying about those dead branches coming down on my house during high winds. An additional note for other tree lovers: I love my big oak trees and want to keep them as long as possible, and was concerned about the one possibly needing to come out as it was dead at the top. Another tree service tried to convince me to have them take it down even though they thought it had 15 or so more years in it. When I was getting the quote from Able Tree Service, I was told they understood why I didnt' want to take it out prematurely and agreed it was best to trim it of the dead material to help it stay healthy. In fact the representative who came out said he felt the same about a tree on his property and did the same thing. I felt then that my trees were in safe hands and that proved to be true.
