Just don't go here! If they have to have a sign at drive thru that says "check your order" you know they have a problem. So ordered 2 cheeseburgers one fries and zucchini. I check my order because I can see they have issues. I see the container on bottom (assume zucchini) burgers on top of box and cold fries on top of burgers. Get home and it's a box of fries with cheese on it. Really I have to rip apart the entire order in the drive thru so I can open a box. Drive home 20 min away and so mad! Just don't go if they can't figure this out - such a basic thing and make it your fault - they don't appreciate the business! read more

Have become a frequent customer. We like coming here because the food is good. Some prices are reasonable but now a days no matter where you go everything is expensive. The friendly service we get from the employees and their willingness to fix an order when needed. They keep up the cleanness around the lobby area and when I have had to use their restrooms they are clean. We like their chicken avocado sandwiches and we ask for no dressing/mayo. Their Jr taquitos combo is good and great for those that don't want a lot of food as well as their jr chicken sandwich combo is good. We have had their steak sandwich which is really good but don't get as often because of the price. The pastrami could be good but next time I need to tell them not to put the juice on the meat because it makes it super soggy and changes the flavor. Their burgers are good. The asada burrito is also good. I didn't care for the chicken terriyaji. They have a red and green salsa and they are both good but the green one is my favorite. Their breakfast croissant sandwiches are also good and their coffee. Their coffee is just right for me. It tastes like coffee and not watered down like other places. I've been eating here for about 5 years once every week. Before the pandemic was awesome. Since then, the service is bad. They can't get my orders correct. I always ask for no dressing. They give me the burger with dressing or scrapped of dressing 3 out of 4 times. I HATE pickles. Not to mention their dr pepper which is flat, tastes like carbonated water. I got the carne asada burrito I got one and one regular the all beef was about a fourth of the size of the other one so that basically says they're putting a boatload of beans in the burrito steak just kind of ran through it... It's just pretty humorous! To the business owner don't be so freaking cheap I would have paid extra! Kind of a sketch location in Compton... much different neighborhood at night! Last visit was pretty good! Food is priced well and they have something for everyone's budget. But today I took points off. I asked them to add extra shredded and tomato to my pastrami combo. My sandwich looked more like a torta, with a few strands of lettuce, and diced tomato. I originally said that I wanted it to look like a subway sandwich. The bread was smashed up and soggy. Little disappointed as this was supposed to be my new spot before bible study. I paid for the lettuce and tomato, so I'm an effort to not send my food back, I just asked for two slices of tomato. I placed an order on Uber Eats 2 hrs ago and still no order has been delivered to my home I set this order as priority there was an estimate time of 20-35 minutes it's been 2 hours. My Uber Eats driver messaged me that he was there at the restaurant but the line was slow. I actually saw a billboard on the freeway for this place, never heard of it, it was hot as hell out and the billboard said they have milkshakes with real ice cream. Decided to punch up Tom's in the ole' GPS and found this location. I ordered the chocolate shake, it tasted horrible, didn't taste like chocolate or even look like chocolate, I'm out $2.15...no biggie! What I did observe while driving through the drive thru is that non of the workers at the end of the line, you know, the one's putting the burgers together and touching all of the ingredients, NONE of them wear wearing gloves....NONE I won't be back for the above two reason and to the person three reviews down, whatever her name is....there is probably a good reason for it, might have had something to do with a lack of qualified individuals or a lack of people who had the desire to work in the area because based on the demographics of the area there should be some...that there isn't probably tells you something right, there were no white workers either but you didn't bother to mention that. Since I got displaced from my last security post (client decided to cut the hours...welcome to my life as a contract security guard), I've been a rover for the last month. Always a challenge to find where to go, where to park, where the heck my post is located and what's good to eat in the area. First time I had the pastrami combo and opted to substitute the french fries for zucchini ($1.79 upgrade). Not the biggest pieces of zucchini and quite a bit of breading, but not bad. Their pastrami is odd; not quite the right color or maybe a cheaper cut. $11.75. Second time I tried the other most expensive thing on the menu, the steak sandwich. This time I decided to give my diet a rest day and opted for the chili cheese fries with onions. I appreciated the fact that Vanessa (the gal that took my order) asked if I wanted them raw or grilled (raw please). Was also impressed that they diced the onions rather than slicing them (Mr. Pete's in Long Beach does this). Sandwich was fine but I didn't care for the mayo and BBQ sauce combo. I caught a couple grisly bites from the steak, but then again, most likely a cheaper cut. $12.30 They also have some chicken sandwiches and other assorted burger combos. Place is large and reminds me of In-N-Out, as far as the service and architecural style is concerned. If you're of shorter stature (i.e., fun-sized) you'll have a hard time sitting on the high top chairs (they also don't swivel). I'm not a soda drinker anymore, so I was looking for iced tea...closest thing they have is that Fuze tea (probably loaded with sugar) and the most healthy option. Oh, sorry....I just had some chili cheese fries with onions (chili is tasty but on the oily/greasy side). Plenty of parking, quick on the drive through and always nice to see LA County Sheriffs or other LEOs and other security guards (two on my first visit) frequent the establishment. read more

**HAIRY SITUATION** On 12/22/17 I ordered food from this restaurant through Uber Eats. I received my order at 10:00 AM and 20 minutes later as I was halfway through the hash browns I started to gag on something. I ended up pulling a long hair out of my mouth that was cooked into the hash browns...the hair was still going through a piece of hash (see pictures). I will never eat from this restaurant again. Not a big burger fan so much but I can appreciate a good one. With that being said, my review is on the Chicken Avocado burger combo. It's amazin! The chicken is grilled, the bacon is crisp, and the avocado is fresh. I substituted my fries for curly ones. The staff are polite and very good to the law enforcement community. The chicken salads are too much to eat in one sitting, but hella good and worth every morsel. I've tried both breakfast and lunch here. Pros: A/C, inexpensive, big seating area, spaced out so you won't be sitting in someone's lap, soda fountain, clean, and did I already say AC?! Many small burger joints don't have that luxury, or if they do, their ac is weak. Cons: fries have too much seasoning, can't beat Louis burger fries lol. And that's about it. Went home for Christmas 2021. Tried the Tom's Jr location in Compton. This place is great! It does not get the recognition it deserves. The customer service was excellent. Family friendly environment. A large variety of food on the menu. They even sell Birria! The food quality is remarkable and the prices are very low. I recommend anyone visiting Los Angeles to stop by and grab a bite to eat here. The Compton location has the N.W.A. mural in the dinning area.
