I couldn't help but notice…read morethis food truck had a pizza oven on it which I haven't seen before and the smell I got driving by certainly intrigued me. I don't know if it was on accident or some diabolical genius plan putting the truck close to 66 but it definitely got the smell of fresh pizza in my face and my body to their counter . Walking up the folks here are super friendly! They took the time to explain their flavors and recommendations which I asked for. We ordered the Three Little Pigs and the special Cherry Chipotle BBQ wings with blue cheese (ranch is also an option for all you BC haters) along with a Sour Patch Kids beverage. Pizza review: Extremely fresh, crispy crust, not thick not too thin but definitely tasty all on its own. I had to eat the crust. The toppings of pepperoni, sausage, and bacon, delicious and very generous. Very nice sauce that paired great with the flavor of the ingredients and cheese. I don't think they cutting corners on ingredients here. I'm looking forward to my return to try the other flavors but after two slices of pizza here and a couple wings I was pretty full. The Wings: Cherry Chipotle BBQ, OMG. You know how you get the BBQ sometimes and it's just that delicious sticky icky yum yum mmm mmm good kind of sauce. It kind a felt like that as I licked the sauce off my fingers and enjoyed the jumbo sized juicy wings they served me. They have all the standard flavors but I loved that they offer a special of something different than the usual. And they did it very well. If you have a bit of a sweet tooth I recommend the Sour Patch Drink as it is tart and sweet with a few sour patch kids to enjoy at the end. It paired very well with the flavors of our meal and I very much enjoyed sitting outside, watching the traffic go by while I ate this delicious meal. All in all I will definitely be back. They're open Sunday, Monday, Tuesday for now and will be seen around town at various festivals and events. They accept cash and card, and offer a respectful discount to Veterans, Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement. Great food, great folks, and fast service all make for a winning combo at Mama Jeans Pies. Check 'em out Facebook as well for weekly updates on specials. Can't wait to go back!! Great job folks!

Having several amazing BBQ experiences here over the past few years I felt it was high time to…read moreshare my thoughts and encourage others to sample some fine down home barbecue. This time we brought another couple of friends with us and ordered a full platter. It was served up in a matter of minutes and it incredibly completely filled three platters with assorted barbecue, including a full rack of ribs, pulled pork, sliced turkey, a quarter chicken and bratwurst, not to mention sliced pickles and rolls. Of course we selected three sides to come with it (which were included): a nice smoked potato salad, cider coleslaw, and cider braised sautéed greens. We added two homemade sauces, peach chipotle and applejack. Well the ribs were smoked using applewood and were so tender the meat fell off the bone. Everything was delicious and the sauces were superb which came as no surprise since they were made using fruit from the restaurant's adjoining farm. To wash it down we ordered an apple cider slushy which was thick with flavor. Again, no surprise, as there is an apple orchard on the farm. We were so stuffed that we joyfully took about half of the food home with us! I've enjoyed barbecue for a number of decades, including down in Memphis, and I must say that this no-frills restaurant with outdoor and indoor picnic table seating can play in the same league as some of the more renowned barbecue joints, certainly in the Capital and Hudson Valley regions. Come see yourself and while you're at it, check out an amazing distillery next-door as well as the wonderful adjoining farmstand (cider doughnuts!).

As a…read morebarbecue lover living in the city where it's often expensive and strangely absent from many menus, I simply couldn't leave without getting myself a plate. We ordered a half rack of ribs to split, waiting about 15-minutes for our name to be called (too long for two people frothing at the mouth for it). The ribs came undressed, but you could help yourself to as much sauce as you like at the counter. We tried both the apple and chipotle sauces, preferring the former, which was sweet and smokey. It paired perfectly with the tender, fatty ribs. When I think back on it as I am right now, I salivate. My husband also ordered their brisket sandwich (available only on Sundays), which looked just as appetizing as the ribs. The meat was cooked wonderfully medium rare with a charred exterior and a slightly pink interior. My husband ate that heartily. It was one of our favorite bites of the trip. I'm envious of my past self for enjoying that meal while I sit here now, craving it but unable to have it again.

I've always been a fan of food trucks as they typically offer food you don't see in most…read morerestaurants. Usually they are a overly expensive for very little food, but this is the complete opposite. The servings are great for the price and the food is absolutely delicious. I recently stopped for their opening weekend and got the pork schnitzel hero with fries. The hero was very tasty and was massive. The homemade sauce on the side was tasty and perfect to put on the sandwich or dip the fries in. I got my order to go, but there is outdoor picnic tables near the truck. The service was excellent and very quick. The owner (I'm assuming the person taking orders was the owner) was very pleasant and happy to hear that I was returning after stopping by last year. I couldn't recommend this food truck more. I wish them many years of success!

So glad we ended up turning around because it was worth it. I was initially overwhelmed 1. Because I was hangry and 2. I was so excited and wanted to order everything on the menu. So, I asked for a little guidance and the owner was so. Ice enough to explain all of the dishes. We went with the schnitzel platter, schnitzel hero, and a classic langós (see pictures) 1. The chicken schnitzel was nice and thin with a crispy crunchy breading. It was a very generous option/ enough for sharing! It was paired with the classic cucumber salad and a side of a garlicky mayo. I got the Hungarian salad which was like a mayo/sour cream based salad with added carrots, string beans and corn. This will satisfy your hunger without making you feel gross, it's very light and refreshing despite it being fried. 2. The schnitzel hero was close to the platter but obviously in a sandwich form. Think of your classic chicken cutlet grinder. Great for eating and driving at the same time. Side of fries were standard. 3. The classic Langós was a star! Resembles fried dough, but the dough itself is very flavorful on its own. It's topped with sour cream, garlic and shredded cheese - best eaten right away! I wish them the best of luck with this rig and look forward to a restaurant in the future ?????
