That said... the coffee here has been the best I've found so far in Australia, including the wonderful places I've been to in Sydney. Not only does the barista treat the milk correctly, but the bean selection is spot on. It has a beautiful, complex, consistent flavor (even if the milk starts to cool, the taste doesn't diminish). In two days time, I had a total of six flat whites, and brought others to enjoy the place (and they had very positive responses to the flavor of the coffee as well). The finish of the coffee is that pleasant blend of caramel and smoke that is just amazing. The other thing to mention here is that the lady behind the counter remembered my name from my second order, which to me is quite amazing, given that the place was quite busy the first time I went there, as well as the times I returned. Overall the people working here were friendly, pleasant, smart, and clearly care both about their products and the service they offer. I was surprised reading the other reviews here, because as an outsider who only went to this place a couple of days, I had consistently superior service and consistently superior coffee. My overall advice is: IF you like coffee for the sake of a good coffee, this place is the best I've seen in Australia. Go here. If you like coffee for the social aspects, and want to sit around and chat, this probably isn't the best place (Cafe Latte in Orange would be better suited to you for that, and it's coffee is good, just not Bills Beans good).

I asked for a double shot and it wasn't as strong as I had hoped, but the flavour was good. It was really busy on the Sunday morning, so you may have to queue. I liked that the customer base seemed to be more locals than tourists (like us!).

The Tom yum had sufficient heat and sourness that it wasn't too westernised which I enjoyed. I was surprised it even had 3! Prawns in a small bowl of soup. Well done there. Oh I personally didn't like the lava noodles too much but I'm gonna say it's just personal preference. All in all the place is relatively pricy but I guess only by a couple of dollars and to that I'm ok. If you pay cash you even get 5% off so bring some $$$ with you when you visit.

I decided on the Beef and Shiraz Pie-with hand cut chips and salad- it's nice to find a place that still uses real potatoes - they were great! We have a few places in Sydney that make nice fish and chips, but these dishes were right up there with the best we have had-fresh,crisp and perfectly cooked-the prawns were very generous and I was lucky to be handed one.
