This is THE BEST record store in Jerome. Tommy Rocks is a gem--don't miss it! We stumbled across this little store while looking for iced coffee on a hot day in July. The coffee shop was closed, but Tommy Rocks was open, and we thought we'd browse a bit while we cooled down. Tommy Rocks has an excellent selection of vinyl; everything is nicely organized and reasonably priced. Not only did we find a few old records we've been looking for, but we also had a great time chatting with the owner. I know that every time we visit Jerome, we will make a point to peruse the vinyl at Tommy Rocks. :) read more

He has a really fun selection of memorabilia and apparel in the shop also. This store is awesome! A little off the beaten path, as you have to go down a flight of stairs to get to it. The shop is located in an area with about 4 other small artsy shops. I was drawn into this shop by all of the shiny and colorful things, and the fact that there seemed to be a lot of vinyls on sale right outside, and wasn't disappointed when I walked in. The store itself is small, and packed to the gills with awesome music memorabilia, trinkets, and even some instruments. It was nice in the sense that it was still easy to navigate around, even though there was so much stuff in the small space. There really is something for everyone here, and every price range it seems. Old school records, stickers of rock bands of today, tie dyed ukuleles, posters, autographed concert tickets from shows that may outdate a lot of us but we still wish we'd attended. Tommy was there behind the counter, and I got the awesome pleasure of talking to him. This is a guy that really knows his stuff, and my only qualm with my time here is that I didn't have more time to talk to him. I was here with my boyfriends family, his dad also a huge music buff, and he also spent a bit of time chatting with Tommy and had nothing but good things to say. If you have a music buff in your life, find yourself in Jerome, and need a gift this is definitely the place to go. read more

So it's a wonderful Sunday afternoon before our beloved independence day, and my wife and I decided to head up north to Jerome, never been and wanted to see what the hype was about. Stopped in to this little slice of heaven where I met Mr Muthafuckin Tommy rocks, and let me tell you. This was a wonderful experience. I've been wanting to pick up a ukelele for about 3 years now and this man made it as easy as my prom date senior year. Tommy made me feel like I was gonna be a pro in no time flat, didn't rush me, and trust me I've had all sorts of questions because I am no musically inclined individual. Tommy was celebrating his 4th year being open, and took better care of me than the massage therapists at madam kame's. I encourage anyone who visits Jerome AZ to seek out this place. Pick up some fun memorabilia, you dont even have to play an instrument to find something you would enjoy. This is a swinging little shop that's a "must stop" for any musician or music lover passing through Jerome. Tommy is a class act; experienced, knowledgable, and generous with his time - and a damn fine musician in his own right. It's a great place to find gifts and supplies, and musicians and friends (and former students!) come from far and wide to visit Tommy and check out his cool stuff. Tommy's also responsible for kicking off the Jerome Ukulele Orchestra! Amazing customer service!!! I was shopping for a specific instrument (and Christmas gift) online and much to my dismay the company sold out and had stopped production until after the holiday. There are no dealers for this instrument in my area including my entire state. I hopped on the phone and started calling out of state dealers posted on the company's website. It was the Saturday before Christmas when I telephoned Tommy Rocks. The phone rang and rang before going to voicemail. Disappointed and sure I'd called on a non-business day I chose not to leave a message and started thinking of other gifts to replace the one I could not give. Much to my surprise awhile later I received a call from Tommy Anderson (the store owner). Thankfully he had caller ID and didn't want to miss a potential customer. I purchased the instrumental gift with the hopes of speedy delivery. It has now come to my attention that Tommy Rocks is closed on Mondays but Tommy Anderson made the trip to the Post Office on his day off to ensure the delivery of my husband's gift.
