Finding the location I almost missed it than goodness there was a place to turn around to go back. Be prepared to park tight because the parking is very close quarters if you drive a vehicle like mine (big). I had made an appointment over the phone which is encouraged. So checking in made it easy and the young lady was very polite. It didn't take long to get started my stylist knew I was there first for a consultation and if I liked what we talked about we would proceed or I would make an appointment for a later time. As you can see I didn't waste anytime after we chatted about what I wanted and what she could do, Gracie made my hair look amazing. I am really happy. This little place offers some perks I wish I had taken a photo of that for y'all but I forgot. If you're looking for cute earrings or a cute outfit this place has some items you can choose from. Right now they have items for Saint Patrick's Day who doesn't need shamrock earrings I made a follow up appointment before I go on my next vacation to make sure my sparkles are hidden.

I will never come here again. My expectations were SUPERRRR high for this place- I even called the…read moreday before and spoke a gentleman (much nicer than the guy who actually did the hair cut) and he was personable, respectful and gave us high hopes for the next day when we went to actually get a cut. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Glen (goes by glendabarber) who was the most rude individual I think i've EVER met in my life. He lacks basic personal skills, manners or hospitality. Upon arrival, he was "acting" as though he was the coolest person in the room and as though he owned the shop. He made our requests feel like they were silly, degraded us and undermined the fact that fact that it was our first time at a barber shop like this. My fiance who was getting the hair cut accidentally stepped on his foot rest to hoist himself into the chair to which Glen replied "let me show you how to sit in a chair- its not a step stool, its a foot rest" and proceeded to "son" him and little boy him- acting as though we were idiots. He then proceeded to ask "how old both I and my fiance were" just because I was showing him reference photos on how I would like wanted his hair cut for our engagement photos. Which by the way, we had to cancel beacause his hair cut looks so stupid. Like a bowl cut. Glen didn't even bother to style his hair after blow drying it. We spent $50 (to low tapper fade on the sides and the back)-- and said he had to "charge him extra bc he came with his hair wet" when-- mind you, we usually get wet cuts from other salons. We wasted time on that BS.. and poor custom service. I would never recommend this place to anyone -- in fact, I plan to make other reviews. I do want to note that the other members who worked there seemed extremely kind and treated their customers with respect. The Base Barber- I HIGHLY recommend having a major sit down with Glen. He lacks every ounce of customer service or friendly nature that you could ever expect in someone. We wanted to walk out from the moment we sat in his chair. He definitely carries "know it all energy" -- and is not someone I would ever , ever spent an second of my time around. HORRIBLE experience.

Even when I come up with a CRAZY idea, Linda knows my hair and can gently point me in the right direction. (I am at the age where gray hair is rapidly taking over my entire head!) They recommended Misha Williams; I have been seeing Misha ever since. I think that Misha, by far, has given me the best hair color/highlights and haircuts in my entire life! I say this because it takes a special expertise to be able to blend highlights and low lights in dark blonde, ash blonde, and gray hair so that it looks natural. Misha's color technique also works so well that when my hair grows out it is not as obvious - thank goodness. Recently, Misha moved into her own salon, Live and Dye Studios, housed in Sola Salons. Sola Salons are located in the Cypresswood Crossing Shopping Center, at the corner of Stuebner Airline & Cypresswood, near Mellow Mushroom Pizza. The address is 16000 Stuebner Airline Road in Spring (77379). Plenty of free parking too! I cannot imagine seeing anyone else but Misha to cut and color my hair! I highly recommend her! Please give Misha a call at (832) 960-3575. She also offers online booking of appointments at www.solasalonstudios.com.
