Where I was going was always interesting to say the least, but I had out grown (for my 20s). Dr. Leslie King was recommended for my needs and the story ends there sorta speak...as she is absolutely the best I have ever had, so the search ends. She has been absolutely great being gentle during visits, and is really good at answering every and any question I could have. Those that know me know that I don't hold back, curious by nature and always want to know. Knowledge is Power! Would have to say Dr. Leslie King is very knowledgeable and truly knows her medical craft in and out. I love the layout of the new location here in Valley Stream office vs. Rockville Centre office. She has a space that truly represents her spirit and expertise better. Know that when you come to visit her though, don't wear fragrance, as she personally has serious allergies. You won't want to be the one that makes her use her Epi Pen. So, if you know you need a change, definitely consider Dr. Leslie King, with the Winthrop Specialty Center South - WINTHROP Medical Affiliates. From what I know she still 'Delivers', and I can totally say I would be so conformable one day if she was there catching for that next step in one's life!

I'm extremely disappointed with how this practice handled my recent visits and, more importantly,…read morehow they document patient records. After my appointment on February 6, 2026, I reviewed my medical chart and found a note stating that my wife was "rude." This is completely false. On that day, my wife sat in the waiting room while I completed intake. She did not accompany me, did not make requests or attempt to accompany. She was greeted by two Doctors at this practice and she greeted them in return. To document her behavior as "rude" by nurse F. Roach was not only inaccurate but it's deeply unprofessional. What makes this even more concerning is that the comment had nothing to do with my medical care and was placed under "PT chief complaint," which is wildly inappropriate. Medical records should be factual, objective, and relevant. This was none of those things. For context, this appears to stem from an earlier issue. My wife was previously a patient at this clinic, and during all of her visits, I was allowed to accompany her during intake and provider visits. However, once I became the patient, my wife who presents androgynously was suddenly prevented from accompanying me during my visit on January 23, 2026. We respectfully raised concerns about the inconsistency in policy enforcement. Expressing concern is not rudeness. When I returned on February 6, my wife made no attempt to accompany me and remained in the waiting room, yet a negative and false statement was still added to my chart. The nurses clearly have an inability to separate personal perception or bias from objective documentation. Seeing inaccurate, accusatory remarks about my wife in my medical record is extremely off-putting and has significantly damaged my trust in this practice. I have requested that the false statement be reviewed and that practice management contact me, b/c the way this has been handled is disgusting.

It was one of the best decisions I made! She is a compassionate and dedicated physician who truly cares about her patients. She always took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel very comfortable throughout both pregnancies and deliveries. She is highly experienced, knowledgeable, and someone I trust completely. Her staff is also wonderful, professional, patient, and very helpful. Dr. Jacob delivered my second child in 2021. She is very dedicated to her practice and has very…read morespecific ways of doing things. We chose her as our ob since she's known as being less interventionalist than others in the area, but she at times was also not willing to consider some options that we wanted to explore. Appointments with her were very short, though if I had questions, she was willing to chat a little more. She let me go to 42 weeks even though I was "geriatric," which, from what I hear from others in the area, is incredibly unusual. We had wanted to explore some labor inducing methods, like stripping the membranes, which we had done with our first child. However, she said she wouldn't do it since it doesn't work. Of course, this is where a doctor's experience comes into play, but it was disappointing since we had had this option with our previous doctor. Actual labor induction was an experience - as it often is - but she certainly stepped in when the timing was right. I felt like I was in good hands even when things got very tough.

There was a consistent lack of clear communication between the midwife and myself, and the front desk staff were often rude and, at times, not fully transparent. Even after reaching 22 weeks, I was never informed when I would meet the OB, which was concerning. When I called to notify the office that I would be transferring my care, I was met with a dismissive response--"that's unfortunate"--before being hung up on while I was still trying to ask about a prescription the midwife had submitted. I also felt that my preferences were not fully heard or respected. Based on my experience, the practice appears to strongly favor non-epidural approaches, so patients who are considering an epidural may want to ask detailed questions upfront to ensure their needs will be supported. As a first-time mom, feeling heard and supported is extremely important, and unfortunately, that was not my experience here. While I never had the opportunity to meet the OB directly, my experience with the office staff and overall communication leads me to recommend that others carefully consider their options before choosing this practice.
