The teachers vary from day to day, but they are all caring and energetic, and my kids benefit from their different teaching styles. My son had been doing jiu-jitsu for about six months, but we eventually decided it just wasn't the right fit for him and took him out. Deep down, I had a feeling that he would enjoy taekwondo much more, so I decided to take a leap and bring him to Tom Vo to give it a try. We chose Tom Vo for a few reasons--their multiple locations, the variety of class times they offer, and, most importantly, the great things we had heard from friends who had experience with them. One of the things I like the most about Tom Vo is definitely how it brings out the confidence it brings out in my kids. I was extremely concerned about his confidence prior to Taekwondo but now I can say I am not as concerned as I used to be. They require the students to speak up with confidence/respect and also, attending the championships/belt color testings and breaking boards really boosted their confidence. I love how friendly the masters are and how passionate they are with genuinely to help the students. Looking back, I have to say it was one of the best decisions I've made for both my son and myself. He found something he genuinely enjoys going to, and it has been amazing to watch his confidence, discipline, and excitement grow. I'm so glad we took that leap and gave Tom Vo a chance. Kicking in the New Year To start the year, we wanted our little to try a new activity and decided on Tom Vo Tae Kwan Do. We heard from other parents whose kids attended nearby sessions how it help their kids develop positive self esteem, physical development, and respect. We were not disappointed.
