This is beautiful park with many options to do activities including 3 dog parks, paved trails, park fitness area/equipment, play area for kids, full size basketball court, a lake for chilling or fishing. It's very calm and green and right off of 151. My only concern is people not picking up after their dogs or themselves because why was there trash in the beautiful lake? Some of the paved trails need a little upkeep due to runoff or flooding. There's also a porta potty in the park and plenty of parking in the 151 side. The other entrance has limited parking because it's through the neighborhood. read more

Park needs a ton of upkeep, like, legitimately it's pretty gross. Trails are unkept for the most part around the lake. The dog park itself has 0 shade. The parking on the residential side is abysmal. I specifically went to take my dog to the lake because the reviews say its dog friendly. It is NOT dog friendly. There are signs (singular) saying dogs not allowed to swim. But I'm not gonna tell my dog no when it's nearly 100 degrees. Meadow village-put some of your money towards making this park redeemable! You have a whole lake. Do something with it. read more

I really want to like this park because the small dog park is actually nice, but it leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the land nearby has been cleared to build houses, so it's kind of plopped in the middle of an open field. This leads to brutal heat and/ or wind if it's a hot/ windy day. It also means that all the dust and dirt are blown directly into your face! Then, because the other side of the park is surrounded by a small forest with water it's also a massive breeding ground for mosquitoes. Seriously- last time I was at this park I walked away with 11 welts from mosquitoes. And I was wearing leggings and moving the whole time!!! The dog park is also right off of the highway, so you have a horrible view and lots of road noise. It's a shame because it's one of the few dog parks that actually includes agility equipment and a picnic area with a covering in the small dog area. read more

The park its self is pretty large to walk around on which is nice, we came here with our 4 dogs who need to be in water in order to hike because they get so hot. We thought this would be perfect to hangout by for a few hours, half of the trail is covered in muck ( seems like it's been flooded for a while as there's algae growing) so we had to walk through the weeds on a detour trail that was made by other people. Then we got to the water and it seemed perfect, got up closer and it's complete muck, seems like a mud hole. Let the dogs swim and the water was terrible and disgusting. I would only return if we came without dogs.. kind of disappointed in the upkeep of the park and the lake read more

Can only speak for the playground, since we've gone here three times! My 16 month old enjoys this playground and I think it's good enough space for kids to not frequently bump into one another. We always have a great time! Tip: bring own water/snacks and make sure you dont need to use the restroom too! Wish they had more benches for people to sit though! read more

Respectfully no. The grass is overgrown and the pond is covered in algae. I would not bring kids or dogs here for swimming. I gave it an extra star because the trail leading to the pond is very green and shaded, but there is a lot of dog poop along the way. read more

This park was surprisingly really nice. I didn't expect it to look like the pictures because it hadn't rained in a long time but the view was stunning. This park is probably one of the more lively parks we've been too, tons of people and hard to social distance on the trails but shockingly everyone had a mask on. The best part is the huge dog park they have, which we loved. It's full of fun toys, activity areas, and it was fully stocked with poop bags if you forgot them. The only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of five is because sadly, we focused a lot of time on making sure our dogs and ourselves didn't step in poop. They provide you with the resources to clean but a lot of people don't. Even on the trail there was lots of poop in the middle of it but overall it's really pretty and an easy walk, the entire thing was paved unless you go near the water. read more

Today I had some free time to take our family dog on a special outing. Imagine you are a dog who doesn't get out much. What would be special for you, Those were my thoughts this morning for our pet. I decided to take him to a place where he could go for a nice walk and also spend time with his other four-footed friends. In addition to that I wanted to get some exercise walking with him around the lake, there within the park. First, before it got hot, I took him on a walk around the lake. Man was it relaxing and enjoyable. iLove nature. I grew up in California and was able to be in nature a lot. That is as I grew up very close to the beach. Today, seeing the water flow and move through the lake by back memories of watching the waves, and surf come and go. Now to the park, the trail is about 3/4's or .75 of a mile around the lake. There weren't many people out on this Friday, a work day. There were a handful of women who were also walking or one was jogging with their dogs. The jogger pasted me two times. She had a bigger, bull-terrier who stopped to get friendly with our Doberman/lab. We also went into the Dog Park where he met a big poodle-sheep dog, named Fluffy. His owner, said she just trimmed him to be cooler in the heat with less fur. That dog was exactly like the Poodle/Australian Sheep Dog that I grew up with in Southern California. I have mentioned about how I had to put her down in my Yelp review on Carson City Animal Shelter in Los Angeles Our dog doesn't get taken on regular walks due to our family's busy schedules. So, it was important to stop often and let him lay down and relax. The park also has helpful dual watering fountains for both humans and dogs. He loved to stop there and lapped up the fresh cool, rushing water. Earlier when went there in early August these water fountains were not working. Therefore it's a good idea to bring your own water, especially as it's very hot. read more

I miss going to this park. Gated in dog park for big dogs and a separate gated in dog area for the small dogs. Large playground and basket court. A few outdoor exercise machines and a huge trail to walk on and or ride a bike on. The one big thing I HATE is people will allow their kids to go into the dog area like it's a damn petting zoo and then get upset when your dog reacts to their kid pulling ears, grabbing tails or a surprise unexpected unwanted pet on the back. There are also inconsiderate people that will take their large dog in the small dog space. There's no on sight security just after hours to tell you leave bc the park is closed. read more

This dog park is great and it always seems to be very clean and friendly. The lake behind the park is great for the dogs! My puppies absolutely LOVE swimming here! My only downfall would be people coming next to you to fish. Now, if I show up and someone is already fishing, I know better than to be rude and allow my dog to splash around next to them. However, if I'm there and you show up to fish, it's not so kind to make me fear every line you cast out and pray my dog doesn't accidentally get hooked or caught up on your line. That aside, I do enjoy bringing my fur babies here and will continue to do so as long as I live in San Antonio. read more

My dog was so happy throughout this whole experience. He's a five year old Siberian husky and didn't really get out much since me and my family lived in Miami until summer of 20222. Well I grew up in Miami so you don't really get out much especially as a pet. He was very content. Hopefully I will take him again. Not a bad dog park to take the puppets out in the evening. It's not huge, and there aren't a whole lot of trees to shade the place, but overall, the people in the dog park were very friendly. Owners shared treats with other owners, plenty of running space for the pups, and a few activities for the dogs to play with. There were doggy water fountains and bag stations for when the kids make mistakes, but sadly, they weren't very well utilized. The day I visited (2/2/18), there were a few areas where bad owners hadn't cleaned up after their kids. But overall, my boy loved the place. We'll be back! read more

A nice big park with a trail and dog park on the southern side of the city nearby Lackland and the 410/151 interchange. I decided to take my dog out to a couple parks this day to let him run/walk himself ragged. Tom Slick was our second park that day and it turned out my dog was already too tired from the first park to really enjoy it, so we didn't stay long. The dog park was a pretty good size, with plenty of room for a dog to run around or just be alone while he/she pisses on everything. read more

I take my puppy here few times a week.. people here are friendly my doggo gets to enjoy playing with other doggo.. I like that their is obstacle course for them to learn.. The park itself is GREAT. But.... Soooo many little pods of shady little neck-tattooed guys. Soooo much weed in the air. Where the eff are the park police?? It's uncomfortable when pups and tiny humans leave the park with a contact high. You're definitely not on the North Side anymore, Toto! Clientele aside, the design/layout/trail upkeep/and, above all, THE QUARRY LAKE THING ( lurrrrve!! ) are at the very least equal to, probably *preferable* to, McAllister Park for dogs' day out. Parking BLOWS. And it's superweird that there's a BBQ pit *inside* the off-leash dog area. The park itself was cool enough that I'll certainly be back, I'm sure. I come here every other day or so with my puppy, Kadence. She loves it here! There is a very small agility course with a tunnel, standing pad, holed circle, hurdles, and teeter totter. Most of the pet owners that come here are very responsible however there are a few that 1) should not own a pet, 2) don't clean up after them when they poop, and 3) let their dogs hump, bite, and be aggressive toward everyone else's dog (this is what I can't stand). There is a little kiddie pool that the dogs and jump in or occasionally drink from, but there are a couple water fountains for humans and dogs to drink from. The only place for shade though is a little covered area with two picnic tables under it. They have a small dog area that is under renovation (but I never see anyone working on it) for those that have yorkies, poodles, etc. that are afraid the bigger dogs might be too rough. Overall this is a nice little place to take the pup but I think it could also be better... read more

Good park. Lots of open space. Clean. There are port a potties. Kids playground. Lots of parking. My dog likes the dog park. They have a small dog and big dog area. Lots of water fountains and they all work. My only concern is the turn off into the park. I make sure to go very slow and turn on my signal light so cars know I plan on turning very soon. read more
