Best time to go is to catch the sunset views from the several benches located on the rim of the park. There are other nice areas to hang out by the carriage house where you could just read a book or do some yoga stretches. Love love love Prospect Park such a lovely local gem. (Which would include the University). This park is located amongst it. Don't let the stigma of the area discourage you, you drive up & see a normal neighborhood filled with mostly working class folks and this park with a small playground, baseball field, basketball courts, skate park & parking surrounding it. Clean restrooms & Pet friendly too. Even though I saw dog crap through out, it wasn't as much as the other popular trails. You have lots of trails & options - no markers, but it's wide open, self explanatory & you won't get lost. You got a good view of the area all around. Although from pictures it looks big, it's relatively under 2 miles. I did close to 3 miles doing laps. Coming down can be tricky with the rocky dirt inclines - wear good comfortable shoes with good tread & just use caution going down because you'll slide. And your not too far to drive up towards Arrowhead & Crestline, etc., more options to explore.

She hosted it all by herself and decided to hold it at this park. For the event, I give her an A+. She shared information for parents who may not be aware of everything that's available. As for the park itself, when it first opened, it was so beautiful. Unfortunately, it does need a facelift but for the most part it's still a very decent park. This park offers a variety of activities. There's two playgrounds. One for little kids and one for larger kids. There's a huge field in the center of the park with a walking trail. There's also workout equipment along the walking path. There's also two basketball court areas. If you want to host a party, there's large and small reserved areas. As for the cleanliness of the park, it's one of the cleanest and nicest in Rialto. The city does a good job cleaning it but sadly not everyone in the community does the same. If in the area and looking for a park to bring your kiddos or have an event keep this one in mind. One more thing, I'm an Autism Mama and this park offers me peace of mind because it's a gated park. Yes, there are still openings to enter but having a main gate around it is appreciated!

A lot of people like to bring their dogs here or plan picnics/gatherings. There is a little playground with a basketball court that people usually play on. If you walk up the hill a little bit, there's a gazebo with tables and benches for people to sit on or hang around. My friends and I liked to do our school work here while watching the sunset. Some of my fondest memories were spent at Sycamore Park and I love going every time I'm back in Riverside. The park is part of a neighborhood, so there's some street parking, but be mindful of the area. It's never been extremely crowded when I've gone, but there has been a few times that parking was limited. Overall, a great place to spend the day with your friends or family and catch the sunrise/sunset.

Since I decided to have an early morning walk in this park at 5 am, I didn't have difficulty finding a parking spot at the top side of the park. I love hearing all the birds in this park. It's so relaxing and you feel so close to nature. The hiking/walking trail is one mile to walk around the circumference of the park. Be mindful though, the trail is a dirt pathway and if they recently watered the grass, then you'll encounter patches of mud. The trees and bushes are numbered so you can look up what type of plant they are, but they're indigenous to the area. There were only a few people taking their morning walks and others taking their dogs out for a walk as well. I only noticed a few poop droppings from dogs where their owners didn't pick up after them, but other than that, this park makes you feel like you're taking a hike in nature. To the far right, is a grassy meadow where you can have a picnic. There are no picnic benches there though. This is area was completely green from the care and watering. Great place to bring your dog to run freely chasing Frisbees or balls. Also, there are no public restrooms at this park. However, I did notice one water fountain and people must have left bowls there for their dogs to drink out of. Overall, a beautiful park to visit and enjoy nature.

We would've loved to have a birthday party here through the city, but without a working bathroom that has not happened. It was a huge deal before, but now that our oldest is potty trained, having a bathroom for young children is kind of essential. There used to be swings for both babies and older children. A while back however, we noticed that all but ONE baby swing had been taken down. Not sure if it's maintenance, repair, or what but we've been twice now in the last month or two and they've not returned. The park structure itself is accesible, clean, and lots of fun for our kids. There's great tree cover, benches to sit, and lots of room to spread out. But the preteens/teenagers riding motor bikes through the grass and pathways have also soured the park for us.

Fun memories when my kids were little playing in little league games. The emotional rollercoaster when games were too close. I tell my kids win or lose it's always a winner when they complain about losing. It's the experience, lesson learned and trying one's best makes it a winner. This park is a winner coming from where it was then and how it is now.
