While visiting my parents I found a stack of old VHS tapes containing countless hours of handicam footage collected over my youth. They were tucked away in a box up in storage just collecting dust. I thought it would be nice to upgrade them with the times so that we could all enjoy them again. A quick google search for "VHS to DVD transfer Spokane" brought me to Tom's page. His services include photos, slides, film and video to DVD transfer. Luckily, he was only a short walk from my house so I contacted him immediately. I had 6 tapes all together containing at least 2 hours of footage each. Not a small job in the least and I was only in town for a few days, so I wasn't sure if he'd be able to oblige. "Not a problem," he told me. Tom jumped right in and I awaited his call a few days later once the transfer was complete. A job like that can be quite consuming as the service is only successful through real time...no high speed dubbing. Once finished he gave me a buzz and I picked up the final product. Very nice! Great, colorful labels on each disc featuring the names of each of my family members as the stars (including my old pets too)! When I presented the suprise gifts to my family before we all went our separate ways, they were thrilled. The quality of the transfer was quite remarkable...as I said these VHS tapes had been in a cardboard box since the mid to late 90s. His equipment managed to read and copy them with very little static and excellent audio quality.
