I want to commend Perfection PC for some great work they recently did on my old HP Pavillion…read moredesktop. First I was having problems syncing my smartphone to transfer photos. On Dec 29, 2021 I talked to Doug who was given remote access to my PC and in about 20 minutes fixed my issue. He did this for no charge! On June 15th I was again having issues transferring photos and I called Doug and he attempted to help but this time the issue required me bringing my smartphone to him at Perfection. He worked on the issue and thought it was resolved. Before I could even check my home computer, Doug had looked into it and could see it was not working (he had remote access to my pc) . He contacted me and said he would drive out to my house the next day to examine my pc and resolve the issue at no charge. He did that and although I had some issues, his solution eventually worked for me. While I was at Perfection on the 15th , I brought up another issue I had been thinking about and asked Doug if my computer performance could be improved by getting a new solid state hard drive. Technician Julien Boker was there and both he and Doug agreed that would improve my computer's often sluggish performance. I was stunned by how affordable upgrading to a solid state hard drive would be. I was mistakenly thinking it would be over $1000 but Julien put it in the $250 to $350 range. On the morning of the 23rd I called Perfection and asked Julien if I could bring my pc by for the upgrade hoping it would be ready by late Friday. Long story short - Julien got the new hard drive installed by 5 pm Friday and I was allowed to test it at Perfection. It worked perfectly! in 2014 I had another computer shop in the Garland district transfer data from one hard drive to a new desktop I had purchased from Costco. Most of the transfer went well but one photo program (Picasa) was all messed up and months of meticulous organizing work was lost as thousands of images were scattered all over the app. When Julien did the data transfer, Picasa was in perfect shape - just the way it was on the old hard drive. I was ecstatic! Later when I got the pc home, I checked out another potential trouble spot - itunes. itunes (at least from previous experience) only allows you to have their app and your purchased music on up to 5 computers or devices. In the past, when a computer of mine failed and I bought a new one and transferred my itunes library, they would remind me of their limit or sometimes not allow the transfer thinking I exceeded the mumber of devices. This time, it was not even an issue! itunes opened up and worked perfectly. My computer now has great speed and efficency and is a pleasure to work with. I can't express how pleased I am with Perfection PC and the work of Julien Boker and Doug!

I have used Perfection 3 times prior to my recent visit and those times were excellent. But I am…read moreafraid NOT this time. I apparently had a SSD card go bad I was told at first it was a mechanical drive, I told them to go ahead and replace the bad card, I had three of them after all. When they got back to me later it was confirmed the SSD card went bad which was really bad because that card had the windows operating system on it. It was implied that all of my disk drives were bad and needed to be replaced I told them to do what was necessary. The SSD was replaced and they pulled both of my hard drives and added another SSD for no apparent reason because my mechanical drives were just fine, worse they were going to dispose of them without transferring my files!! I could have lost years of files for NO reason. I made them give me my drives (thankfully) because they saved nothing that was on my computer. When I got home and realized how bad it was (and still is windows 11 sucks) I reinstalled both drives yanked one of their replacements. Since then I have wasted 10 hours trying to restore my computer and my files. NOT happy!! I know from past experience that it will take 2 months to find and fix all of the bugs and have all of my files running again. Why in the Hell were my functional drive pulled and not synced up with the new SSD drive? I am frustrated and dreading the hours more work that lays ahead.

I sought help from the WSU extension office and several arborist, without making too much headway. Will did a thorough examination including soil sampling and root excavation that exposed girdling, which he pruned. During this process, it became clear to me that Will Mellott is a highly trained and nationally recognized arborist. We are extremely fortunate to have this amazing resource available to us locally!
