The salesperson (David) talked me out of it and said that "something better would come in". He told me that he would contact me by 10 a.m. the next working day with details about "better cars". He also said that if someone else wanted to purchase the car I was interested in, he would phone me as I would have first choice with regard to it. He did not contact me by 10 a.m. the next working day (as he had promised) and when I phoned at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., I was told that he was "busy". When I did manage to get in touch with him at 3.30 p.m., he said that the car I was interested in had been sold (even though he had told me that he would contact me if someone else was interested in it).
