Being new to the area, going for big house projects still leaves me weak in the knees. Replacing…read moreold carpet with over 1,000 feet of new floors is a great example. After asking a number of friends for recommendations I still wasn't satisfied with the list of floor installers and companies we had narrowed down. I did a little more on-line searching and stumbled onto UB Flooring close to me in Plymouth. I read their on-line reviews and found good and bad, but they worked with the bad to make things right and decided to dig deeper. Their storefront isn't fancy, but the store included samples of everything I wanted to see. Being frugal myself (), I like to see companies being smart where they spend their own money - on their product and skilled employees. We left the showroom with samples to review at home, narrowing down our choices enough to ask for a quote. The quote was reasonable so we decided to set the date to have new floor added and old wood refinished. We discussed the quote, Sam answered all of our questions and we decided to put half down to buy materials and hold our spot. We picked a date 3 months out so the floors could be done when we were scheduled to be out of town. They brought in the bundles of flooring a few days before installation to acclimate it to our house and floor. The processes of lacing in new flooring, installing, sanding, staining and finishing could not have gone any better. Tomorrow they will be adding the finish coat and our floor journey will be complete. Communication has been stellar every step of the way, and they could not have been more clear with their questions, answers, guidance and suggestions. Strongly recommend UB Flooring and Sam to get your job done right!

I was dissapointed with the workmanship and the unsafe way that they hooked the Flooring Sander up…read moreto our electrical panel in our home. There are several particals of organic matter in the finish; the steps had to be redone 3 times due to uneven color; there is stain/varnish on our walls, peninsula and the sides of the steps; the entire floor had to be varnished twice and the entry from the foyer to the kitchen, does not have thick enough varnish and one of the transition boards was ruined. The overall job took 3 weeks longer that what we were told. The most disturbing thing was their tempory electrical connection at our main electrical panel for their sander. An electrcial cord was connected to our main panel in our basement. The cord ran from our basement, up two sets of stairs to the kitchen, and the panel cover was left off. This was in an area that was used by us and was left like this until the sanding was finished, two to three days. The way it was done was very dangerous for the person who made the connection, and for us. The owner did come to our house due to the complaints. He admitted some things were done poorly or incorrectly and poo-pooed other things. When told about the danger with the sander hook up, he acted shocked that it was dangerous and said that is the way they have always done it. When asked why the company doesn't run the sander off of a generator, he said it was too expensive to purchase generators. In the end, he took 400$ off our bill.

I was thoroughly impressed with the entire process, from the initial consultation through the installation. Value Plus Flooring took the time to ensure that I got exactly what I needed and wanted for my home. Everyone that I worked with was highly knowledgeable about the products and helped me choose the grade of carpet that was right for me. I loved that they thought of all of my options for the different areas of my home and provided multiple estimates. Dave also kept me informed about timelines. The installers were also great: efficient and thorough, tidy and friendly. I got some pro tips for how to keep my new carpet looking great. Thanks, Jorge! I 100% recommend them! Edited to add that I appreciate the ultra-convenient payment process; such a friendly office staff!

The LVP installation was done on 8/21/17, issues found afterwards and reported. Finally I got an appointment today (9/15) with THE contractor/representative (name left out for now) to meet and discuss, however he claimed that nothing was wrong. He foot-pressed on the pop-out-plunk and called it good. Here are a few pictures to show the condition after they "finished" the project. No transition pieces, gaps everywhere, carpet threads on trim, dirt and dust everywhere, popped-out plunks, etc...which left me in tears when I stepped in the first time after the project. Help

This company was referred to us by the Tile Shop in Maple Grove, MN. We needed to have someone…read morecome in and grout our bathroom. As with other reviews of this company (see google) I experienced the same situation. Zenon (the owner) comes off very sincere while he is selling the job; however once you have paid him, that's over. The person he sent to do the job could barely speak English (that was the first challenge). He could never tell us when he was going to show up or not, he would just show up "whenever" to do the job (just like the other google reviewer experienced). We had colored grout installed. After it was put in I noticed there were areas throughout where the grout was white and not colored. I called Zenon numerous times to address this. He finally showed up and looked at the work. He indicated that the grout was installed incorrectly and that he would get me scheduled to have it redone. It never happened. I called for 3 months. He would answer and tell me he was: just getting on a plane, was out of town, would call me back, etc. I finally told him I was going to take action, he said fine do what you want- and his last comment to me was unbelievable, he said, "did you really think I would come back and fix this, I never do." STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY - TERRIBLE WORK- UNPROFESSIONAL.

I love how it looks and how it flows seamlessly from the Living Room/Dining Room space to the Kitchen and even in to the small bathroom. I have been walking on the floors barefoot since they were installed. The installer did a good job on the thresholds. Both the kind that lead to an outside door and the difference in the color of the plank into the bathroom space. The Owner Tina was great to work with. I will work with Seestedt's again when I update my stairs and upper level of my home. I see my hometown is listed as someplace in California. Not true, Saint Paul Minnesota suburb.

Lori, the owner, was extremely personable & helpful, guiding me through the process of determining my needs & evaluating the pros and cons of different products. Carpet City does not get a commission from different manufacturers, so the focus is on finding and selling a carpet which fits the customer's specifications and price range. James, who came to our house to measure, then returned to remove & replace the carpet was meticulous, friendly, & very precise in his work. We couldn't be happier, both with the quality of the carpet but also with integrity of the business owner and her staff.

AMAZING Service & Product!!!…read more We used CBL carpets to install carpet at a house that we were getting ready to sell. I was looking for inexpensive carpet to be installed quickly and had been to both Home Depot and Lowes. I was SO frustrated by the lack of knowledge of the store employees and stressed about having to make an appointment with a 3rd party, potentially get an asbestos test and not fully knowing WHEN everything would be completed. I mentioned my situation while at a luncheon and 2 separate neighbors suggested I call CBL. Boy am I glad I did!! Not only did CBL have a much better quality and color selection of quick install carpet but Frank, one of the owners, came out to measure and provided a quote. The quote was very similar in price to the big box stores. Carpets were installed by a super detail oriented team within 5 days of my original call. Everything was perfect! Then the rains and warmer weather came and the basement flooded 3 days after our carpet was installed. Frank and his team went way beyond anything I could have imagined and offered to come and pick up the carpet and bring it to their warehouse to dry out. The team is now ready to reinstall when we are sure basement is dry. I will forever be a CBL customer and will continue to share my awesome experience with anyone who will hear me. This is the kind of personal service one can only dream of these days. Thank you CBL!!!!

I am now in the process of looking at their selections of blinds from Hunter Douglas. I highly recommend this company.
