We purchased a groupon, wine tasting for 2 with chocolate tasting. We went during covid on a Saturday. There was live music playing on the lawn and a bunch of outdoor seating available. The food truck was closed, when we went. We flights were generously poured and chocolates were delicious with the wine paired. We ended up purchasing another flight of the wine we didn't try and a cheese plate -also delicious. The wine is very reasonably priced, we ended up buying a bottle. And a wine slushie with ice cream -amazing! (Peach lily with vanilla ice cream). They offer beer flights as well. They forgot to give us our souvenir glasses for the groupon, but we will definitely be back soon! Fun and delicious activity during covid. read more

Purchased a groupon. Went with my husband for the $4 package which is tour, 6 tastings and 2 souvenir glasses. For free you can do 3 tastings. All of the wine was very good. Purchased a bottle of red to take home which was $11.99 Tour was just to the beginning of the vineyards not out to the actual vineyards. Not sure if this is always the type of tour. We've been to Tolino before and really enjoyed ourselves. We decided to go today (Monday, Labor Day). We expected them to be crazy busy due to the holiday, but it wasn't very busy at all, which was nice. We walked up to table where you place your order. The lady there basically yelled to us 'what do you want?'. We just got there, she had no idea if we had been there before. And she didn't give us a minute to see what they were offering. She was very loud, abrasive and rude. The young guy working was much more pleasant. So I ordered a wine slushie flight and you would think asking for one was the dumbest question she had ever received. My boyfriend had a wine flight. He chose in the order they're listed on the menu and she loudly berated him and said that a different order would be better and she couldn't understand why he chose the way he did. We got our flights and found a table. While sitting there we heard her become a little nicer to other people. I mean.. Their wine isn't so great that they can just treat customers however they want. The wine slushies were some of the best I've had, but the actual wine is just ok. We left after our two flights and went to Blue Ridge, who had amazing employees who know how to treat customers no matter how busy they are. read more

Went to visit this nice winery with my wife as we celebrated our 11th year anniversary. Friendly Staff and delicious wines! Our personal favorite was the Sunnyside Red. Sample of wines are substantial. My wife and I chose all different flavors and types and were able to share together to be able to taste as much of their wines as possible. We also ordered their cheese and crackers platter, fresh tasting and also substantial for two. We sat and enjoyed the LIVE music (solo male singer playing acoustic guitar) plus the clear skies and perfect 75' weather. No smoking is allowed but I was able to sit well away at the farthest seating picnic table area by a large tree and I was able to enjoy a Perdomo cigar for two hours with no interruptions or issues. I was very considerate to make sure the smoke would not blow towards others and the crowd. I will definitely recommend to check this local winery and bring someone or a group! read more

Went out looking for a new winery to have a glass of wine and relax. Tolino was having live music on the day we stopped in. Had the free wine tasting. It's 3 samples per person. My companion and I shared 3 each, so we really had 6. We picked an inexpensive red and bought a bottle. Seating is either in a warehouse like setting or outside. Since it was a beautiful day and the live musician was outside, we sat there. The wine is pretty good, but a little expensive. The setting on a nice summer day is great. I got the Groupon which allowed for us to have a rather inexpensive tasting and to keep the wine glasses too which is always nice. The winery itself is pretty nice with 2 tasting bars as soon as you walk in and then a big room (looks to be the production floor where grapes are fermenting and bottling takes place when people aren't there) with tables an another bar set up. This place would be even nicer in the spring/summer/fall since there is outdoor tables and spaces set up to enjoy the really good wine. They have a good mixture of red wines, white wines, rose wines as well as within each a good mix of sweet, semi-sweet and dry wines. We also had a family friend doing our tasting who told us the back story of some of the wine names which was really neat. Three of us older ladies wanted to try Tolino Winery in Bangor! They advertised Tomato Pie pairing! Woman who offered us the tastings was rude to us! She seemed to be nice to younger couple next to us! We did get one small piece of Tomato Pie, even though she said we couldn't have any unless we tasted the red wines! We were finishing up, and my one friend said to me, maybe we should get one glass of wine and stay! Definitely worth the drive. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. They had a pumpkin carving contest the day prior to our visit, but still let us pick a pumpkin and carve for free. They offer cheese plates with your tasting as well. You can try 3 wines for free, or 6 for $5 which is incredibly reasonable for how great the options are. My family and I bought a coupon off of groupon to do wine tasting + a free glass for $5. It was well worth the $5 to go to this winery. You walk into a beautiful wine tasting room and are greeted by staff that are very friendly. The tasting consist of 6 different wines. You have the choice of 6 whites, 6 reds and then a dessert wine. Included in the different choices are blended wines that they created. You did the wine tasting first and the tour after. The tour could have been a little better. One of the owners daughters took us on the tour and she was filled with tons of information. It was a very hot day so it didn't help standing in front of all the vines and baking in the sun. I would suggest doing more of a tractor ride around the winery so that you could see more instead of just the front of the red/ white vines. Overall, it was a great experience. My friends and I went to Tolino Vineyards for Nouveau Weekend, and we were happy with our visit. I called the day before to make a reservation for a tasting, and the staff was very friendly. They even let me know that there was currently a Groupon for Tolino, which helped us save some money. The staff was great and knew a lot about each wine. Each one was explained to us as we completed our tasting, and all of our questions were answered. The tour was very short, but we did learn about the history and production about the winery. Me and my husband couldn't have asked for a better experience. We traveled from Jersey to meet some friends at the vineyard and from the moment we pulled in we were impressed. The location is just beautiful and the wine was delicious. We tasted 4 whites and 4 reds and they each had their own unique flavors. My favorite was the Pinot Grigio 10 and my husband bought a few of the Cab 10's. The staff members, who are family, were super friendly, extremely knowledgable, and very devoted to their product. My husband brought me here as a belated birthday present to paint wine glasses for the "Paint your Glass off" class. I had a lot of fun. We did our wine tasting afterwards and I was pleasantly surprised at the wines they offered. So much of my experience with some of the smaller vineyards is that their wines are often overly sweet and syrupy. Tolino takes their wine seriously, and it is evident in the taste and quality of the wines. I actually wound up purchasing a bottle of rosé after the tasting, I loved it that much. Also the girl who did our tasting was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly (I wish I could remember her name at the moment). Overall, a very lovely experience. read more

Experienced a tasting at this winery today. They have a really nice selection of great tasting dry wines. They have 15 wines to taste that include Rose', Vidal, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Red table wine, Cab Franc & Chambourcin. You could sample 4 wines for free or purchase a $5 tasting and sample 9 wines & keep your glass. We opted for the 9 wines and we're not disappointed. Corinne, our host, was very knowledgeable about each of the wines, letting us know about the noses & notes. We enjoyed our day and will definitely be back. The most difficult decision was picking which wines to purchase. We opted for a few bottles of Pinot, but must go back for their Chardonnay. They also have a beautiful tasting room w/ a view into their wine production room, that was set up for the tour bus that pulled in as we were leaving. Best of luck to this winery. read more

From the whites to the reds they told us what to expect from each of the wines and the history of the label/name of that wine. What a lovely spot. Sampled 7 wines (the tasting included 6 but the pourer made a recommendation on a 7th) and got a nice tour of the operation in the back of the house. Something about steel tanks and oak barrels that is really cool to check out. The customer service was spot on and the wines were all great. It's a real shame when a business can't operate when the people in charge aren't around. and the tough guys run around this place like they are the ones in charge. . It's an embarrassment to be treated by your employees the way my family and friends were tonight by people you employ. I have never said anything but good things about this place. And have enjoyed my many experiences But I will think twice not only about ever coming here again. But also making sure I share my poor experience with others. I find it comical to think that you would employ such disrespectful people. You also may unaware how they treat your clientele when you are not present. Great news for me and my family this is not the only winery we can spend our hard earned money at locally. I would really like to speak with you on a personally basis about this but I feel that is very unlikely. So thanks for the experience but I will not return to be treated with such disrespect by your low level employees. It really was a terrible experience for many reasons. My friends and family have enjoyed ourselves here for dinner events and festivals. The owners and Winemaker are great people. But one bad experience with one employee insulting and embarrassing my family in front of other employees is too much for me to over look.
