I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE FOLKS
I submitted an application for health insurance through Denver Health and was forced to use this firm. I guess its their contracted brokerage firm?
I had a terrible experience for what should have been a very simple and quick process. Communication was very poor. I was asked the same question multiple times and they even got the effective date of my application, my name and my address wrong (big details to screw up!!). I had to prod them multiple times to get my application moving along. They'd tell me "well, we haven't received this document" or "well, you haven't paid your premium yet" - uhh, well, nobody had reached out to me for any of that information, so was I supposed to read minds?
Worst of all, I had only wanted to sign up for this insurance if I was able to see a provider quickly. The agent (Brittany) promised to find out scheduling availability for me. At that time, I was under the impression they were DH employees and not a third party. After not hearing back for a week, I pinged her over and over again. The story changed every time we spoke. In the end - she finally tells me "what scheduling information"? Yikes...
In comparison, all the other major health plans have registered brokers ready and able to approve applications in minutes, not weeks...
The icing on top of this bad experience is that I spoke with a senior leader at this firm (Jen). She couldn't so much as offer an apology for the mix up or assurance that it's not their usual practice. Just sort of shrugged it off like it was no big deal. read more
