Events like Legos, Artists' Guild, Tarot Share, Aromatherapy workshops, musical presentations, fiddle jam, author presentations, and more provide something for everyone, regardless of your interests. The WiFi is great and there is meeting space available if you register in advance. They also sponsor Universal Class online, which includes hundreds of free classes across nearly every hobby interest you can think of. Highly recommend!

The…read morecampus has changed a ton in the last thirty years - classes are all on the hill and most buildings are connected by heated walkways. It wasn't that way in 1990.... Daily walks to classes downtown across the bridges with the cold wind whipping at you and frozen ears when you got to class. The hockey program has always been at the core of the non academic side of things and the Cheel Center - built in 1990 and 1991 just completed a major renovation and looks awesome.

The curriculum was and is well rounded providing specialty courses and non-technical business and liberal arts courses. Clarkson is "goldilocks" size -- not too big, not too small. Potsdam has a college town atmosphere considering being collocated with Potsdam State. Lastly, the winters in the North Country are something to brag about to your friends back home.

This small marker is in the downtown area of Potsdam on Elm Street which is also US Route 11. It is…read morea small town, but I did enjoy my brief time here. The marker reads, "One of ten towns of 1787. Bought by Clarkson family with others, 1802. Settled by Benj. Raymond, land agent, 1803. Town established 1806." It does not have a number but it was erected in 1957 by the New York State Education Department. Potsdam New York was incorporated in 1831.
