They have lots of informative maps and pamphlets, emphasizing hiking, camping, fishing, and other recreational interests, and a variety of small items for purchase. It really gave me a great vibe, and a sense that St. Lawrence County, and Canton, in particular, are livable spots with great people (and lots of snow). Definitely worth stopping by if you are strolling down main-street.

Great music store!…read more So many beautiful instruments (guitars, banjos, violins, etc.) available to rent or buy. A terrific selection of instructional books and sheet music for those instruments. And just about any accessories you might need (strings, straps, resin, etc.). The staff were super-friendly and helpful. Definitely worth checking out for anyone into music!

Since its a new business I paid the going rate, but the rates are very good. Better than renting an apartment for a few months just for my stuff when I'm out of town. I can leave everything and know it will be safe and secure in one of the small units. The reservation and set up is easy since I did it all through the website. I have my own key so I can go back and check on or get my stuff anytime, very convenient. I could see how students at the local SUNY schools, Clarkson or St. Lawrence would want to store their stuff here when they are out of town. Saves from having to rent an apartment.

The first of many little libraries we came across in Canton area. This one is arguably one of the…read morebest paint jobs of any of the little libraries I have personally come across. The post is green and the front is kinda standard with a brown door with vines/greenery on it. The real great art though can be found on side with some quite realistic landscaping/trees painting. Onto the more important aspect for a community little library is the books. Which to say it in few words that aspect was lacking for interesting books for me or my wife. A majority of the books were focused towards youth. The bottom shelf was quite full and had mostly the books I mentioned for kids, with the exception of some DVDs. Top shelf was quite bare and if anything the books were maybe more towards young adult than kids but still nothing worth grabbing! Overall this may be a great little library for some to visit but based on this experience it appears to not be one I would revisit. Still giving the three stars for the great artwork all over the library.

Someone did a great job designing and painting this especially for kids who may visit it. The outside had multiple spots designed to look like it had classic children's books binding on the outside. Some of the books included were The Cat & the Hat, Charlottes Web, Mother Goose Rhymes, and more. Was a really great unique touch. Also due to being inside the paint job was vibrant and stood out due to the fact it was not dealing with the weather outside. During our stop here it definitely had a majority of books that were geared towards a younger reader. Besides that for other books it had what appeared to be some older romance novels likely from the 80's. So we left empty handed but still enjoyed the fact we randomly came across this little library. Readers in the area come by to leave a book and take a book, maybe you'll find your new favorite read!

It was the first of two in the area like that and I suspect both are run by the town or same person because they have the same paint job. Brown and yellow in a library that appears to be well kept. While I will start off saying none of the books inside during our visit were worth grabbing in our opinions. Though if you are a fan of romance novels this would be an absolute visit for you. On one side they had a few kids books but like I said fans of romance novels get the majority of book space taken up. Although I must say you should be a fan of older novels because they appear to be from an older series titled Love Swept. According to a search online it appears to have 900+ books from a huge variety of authors. So while the genre variety was lacking the library was fully stocked so I assume it must get decent traffic or maybe one person is getting rid of their romance stash. Not for my wife or I but like I said older (80's-90's) romance lovers will enjoy this one.
