I went in for a consult to repair a terrible job by California Upholstery in Aberdeen NC. They took some time to find material that was a perfect match. They happened to have some material on hand that worked well for the repair, so they were able to start right away. They worked hard and fast and were very polite & easy to communicate with. The work was done quickly and they even removed all the glue residue & sanded and painted the plastic trim that had been gauged and scratched by California Upholstery as well. I would recommend friends and family here. read more

Just moved to Sanford and was looking for help refurbishing the cushions on my couches. Met my first RUDE person in Sanford! Will NEVER do business with Randy Todd. He must have forgotten he was talking to a perspective customer. Told me to come back the next day for "driving lessons so I could learn how to park in his lot. I pulled in facing the building because I never saw the faintly painted lines. Maybe if he repainted the lines we'd know how to park in the lot! Regardless, a reputable business owner elsewhere would not have spoken to me in the manner in which he did. He's a bitter old man! read more

I dropped a chair off to be reupholstered, three months later I have yet to hear from this business. When I drop the chair off the first red flag was when the owner complained about many things, politics, healthcare, working by himself , and the list goes on. When I asked about how long it would take him to do the job he got real defensive and again talked about how he was working by myself and he would get to it when he got to it. About a month later I called to check on the status of the chair, and I was greeted again with another attitude. He explained how he was working alone, and he could only move so fast, He said that he's got it taken apart and haven't had a chance to finish the job but he said "get to it soon", and he would get to it when he got to it. Today I called to check on the status again, today its three months since I dropped it off. When I asked about my chair, he immediately got defensive again and then He explained he's working alone, he's 65 years old and he can only move so fast. He said I've got it set it to the side taken apart and I just haven't had a chance to finish it yet. Once again I asked him how much longer it was going to be, explaining how it's been three months and I've not heard a word from him unless I've called. He said he's got several other jobs that Have to get done first and he should probably get to it in the next couple of weeks. I do not recommend Todd's Upholstery I really wish I would've went somewhere else. read more

Good workmanship at a fair price. Randy likes to joke around so be ready for that. :-) He redid my boat seats with new vinyl, and I couldn't be happier. read more

I have known Randy for years he has done many jobs for me in all the years . We are both opinionated and being a bully or just crazy around either of us is not a smart move . If you want upholstery work done properly He is the guy . If you want it done your way and you know it all?? Well ... read more

In the beginning, everything went great. I shared my position of being a Military Widow being alone and on my own 150%. Mr Todd was very accommodating. Did an excellent job on my furniture. He agreed to store it and deliver it when my forever home was completed. He got upset with myself over a totally different topic, refused to let my furniture go and demanded 6000.00 plus in storage fees. I had to file in court. I did, the judge ruled in my favor, Mr. Todd told him he was going to set it outside. The judge said, that is being very vindictive. We had an 80% chance of rain. Mr. Todd put my furniture out so near the road that cars traveling on Homer Blvd would surely splash or steal it. I paid 3600.00 for a sofa and chair, and this is how he conducts business...Please Beware! read more

He's got a horrible attitude. He also goes back and changes his prices. There is too many places that offer better services then this person. Please do your research first. read more

I went with my nephew to see about getting his Tahoe seats fixed and of course like teenager boys his truck it is loud and lower in the back. All Todd could do was make negative comments about his truck. He looked at the drivers seat and said it would be 850.00 to recover it and then I asked about the passenger seat which is not bad at all and he didn't even walk around to look at it and said 850.00 for it too. Then as we were about to leave he continued with his negative comments saying that he wish he could stick something in those loud exhausted pipes and that I was letting him aggravate my neighbors with the noise. I thought all his comments were very inappropriate and uncalled for. Fortunately, I found someone selling Tahoe seats for 75.00. I will never return or recommended this business to anyone! read more

Dropped of my seat on Monday said it would be ready in a day or 2 Friday I walk in the shit ain't even started yet, over priced for the long wait time. Don't mind paying if I get it when promised. He will sit on your stuff till last minute and charge u too much. Does ok job seem better for the price!! read more

I took a child's recliner here that I purchased second hand. We agreed to the price to recover but then when it came to fabrics, I was being pushed into using either car upholstery or ordering fabric but either way it was going to bump up the price another $100 by time they were finished putting me at over $200 to recover a chair I could buy brand new for half the cost. When I asked about cleaning my chair up and doing some repair instead of recovering it, Todd's was no longer willing to work with me and got huffy. Fortunately, I found another place in Jonesboro that was willing to do the necessary repairs and cleaning without attitude. read more

Sent in 2 request for estimates using their online form. On one of the 2 items, i needed an estimate quickly and called. The person who answered the phone acted like i was bothering him. He told me he would get back to me that day, never did...didn't do estimates on either never heard from them. Bad attitude with no follow-up..go somewhere else. read more

I give this business 5 stars. I would give them a hundred stars but yelp only allows 5. I am 5 months pregnant and my drivers seat of truck was broken. I can barely reach the pedals as is, so when I accelerated, the seat would sling shot me back making it so I could not touch the pedals at all. When I tried to brake, the seat would smash me into the steering wheel causing me to not be able to steer the wheel in a simple turn. I was so scared I turned into Wilkinson auto shop next to the spring lane and asked to have the service department look at it. The older women who was heavy set with the really short hair was absolutely rude to me! She barely made eye contact when speaking to me and she made it sound like I was wasting her time when all I wanted was for someone to take a quick look at my seat. I was shocked by her rudeness I drove off in frustration. I was told to give todd's Upholstery a shot (never heard of them at the time) by a nice man who works in the collision dept. of Wilkinson. I met with Todd and told him what I was dealing with. He immediately went outside to look at my chair and told me that driving the truck this will get me seriously hurt or worse. I told him I was pressing for time and I didn't have a whole lot to get it fixed either. He even gave me a ride to work and called me the same day and had my truck seat fixed. The people that work with Todd were super friendly and they made me feel like I can go back there and know if I need something done I will be treated like a human being. If you have lots of money and you don't care about great customer service go to Wilkinson service they'll take all your money and treat you like dirt. If I ever need anything done again to my truck I will be going back to todd's Upholstery first! Thank you Todd and crew!!! read more
