I called inquiring for an appointment and the lady I spoke with at their office was very short on the phone and rude and said they were taking appointments for new clients, but there was a four week wait, and I needed to fill out some form and provide my credit card to secure the appointment. Their policy sounded a little strange (along with the wait time) as I have been to other dermatologists in the Miami area who didn't have that long of a wait time and I've never needed to provide a credit card to secure the appointment. I told the employee that I needed to think about it and she said ok and just hung up on me. I thought the whole exchange was very rude and degrading. To compare, I called another dermatologist office in Hollywood and was treated with respect, booked an appointment on a Saturday two weeks out, and was treated like royalty when I got into the office. I'm glad I found another dermatologist office that treats customers better.

She removed a tiny spot about 0.08 inches in size, and I ended up with a scar that is 2 inches vertically and 0.2 inches horizontally. The scar has remained large and has not improved over time. The brown stitches she used to close the wound protruded from the scar for over six weeks until l scheduled another appointment. (I had already been to a follow-up earlier, where they told me everything was fine.) During the second appointment, Dr. Bartos blamed my body for rejecting the stitches, claiming that's why they didn't dissolve and stuck out. She removed some of them, but considering the scar is not only huge but also uneven, I suspect some stitches may still be left inside. She also suggested I return for treatments to reduce the scar's visibility, costing $250 per session... Additionally, I do not trust the clinic with which they cooperate and where the biopsy materials were analyzed. When I looked up the lab name, website, and address on Google Maps, everything seemed highly suspicious. Be sure to do thorough research before allowing a doctor to perform any procedure on your skin. An unsightly result is a minor issue compared to undergoing an unnecessary procedure. P.S. This photo was taken nine months after the procedure. As you can see, the scar still looks terrible.

He gave us the time and attention we needed, allowed us to ask any questions and got us started on an aggressive treatment plan that I am confident will be do wonders. I see that previous reviews were negative due to wait times and I have to say, that was not our experience this week. Although Dr. Moore's assistant did tell us that he likes to spend a lot of time with each patient and that there may be a wait, we were seen by about 3:00 for a 2:30 appointment and that included spending time completing paper work and the initial intake with the assistant. We were out of there in under an hour so I have no complaints at all. I already made an an appointment for myself to take care of my own skin issues! I'll update this review once the treatment is complete but so far I am very happy with our experience with this practice.

My friend Rebecca P recommended Dr. Moore to me and my first visit I waited hours for the appointment but was still happy to get excellent care when it was my turn, and we'll worth the wait! I mean a dermatologist is someone you see Annually (so it's once in awhile), that waiting could be justified ( Yelp review time!). I had skin rashes for years! Dr. Moore knew how to treat my rashes after taking a biopsy . The rashes were instantly gone- just amazing. I recently got a mole taken out, and Dr. Moore's memory of my visits and asks about my daughter is nothing short of compassion. Very caring man. It took them longer than a week to call me back but then I was told that it has been too long, I will be charged and there's probably nothing that can be done to the scar anymore. Not once I was told there was a cut off date, second don't lasers work at any time on scars? Don't people search for scars treatment at any time? So be warned if you are going for laser treatment it won't work as per the staff.... Or is it the free laser that doesn't work? Great to know to someone that went through that.
