It was my first time visiting, but the staffs are welcoming and the dentist was very professional and gentle. He helped me understand each process as he walked through. That makes me really comfortable with the treatment, since I know what they are doing to my teeth. read more

[Note this was for an appointment in October 2020] In setting up my appointment, I appreciated that this office has super friendly receptionists who follow up quickly. I was able to get back to back spots for my daughter and I within one week of calling. The receptionists were also very sweet to my 2-year-old daughter when we arrived. Decor- and equipment-wise, this is not the most modern office. However, everything was clean and functioning well. Everyone was wearing masks and gloves, and I assume they were sanitizing surfaces before I used them, but I've been to other offices where they have signs about this or I see them doing this between patients. I appreciate the computer screen they keep over the patient chair. I was able to watch each x-ray image as it was being taken (the assistant had to do a lot of do-overs), and when my daughter was in the chair they put up YouTube videos. They do pediatric dentistry, but there aren't toys or a play area like other offices might have, and the decor is like that of a regular office. Not that this is a problem, but just something to note in case you're used to more of a "kid" vibe for your children. This was my 2-year-old's first appointment. The dentist started with showing my daughter the tools, seeing if she wanted to learn about them or touch them. She wasn't that interested and became increasingly uncomfortable, so they had her sit on me on the dentist's chair. She started crying and I had to bribe her with a pacifier, and all the dentist was able to do was barely get a look at her teeth. I was surprised they couldn't get her to do a cleaning, but I've since found out this is not completely uncommon for a toddler's very first appointment. We got goody bags, including a bag of kiddie floss picks, and even a free Quip electric toothbrush! They said it was one of their last ones. read more

DR. SOE worked on my crown. He is so kind, patient, professional, and is a great dentist. He is thorough in his examination and makes an action plan to fix your teeth (I never felt shamed for the condition of my teeth). He is happy to answer any questions. EVERY TIME I visit he is in a happy smiley mood and genuinely seems to love his job and truly enjoys helping his patients with their dental needs. Dr. Soe has invested in high-quality technology where you can immediately see your teeth/ x-rays on a big flat screen. DR. NANDAN worked on my crown and a cavity. He is very personable and friendly! He even remembered my name and profession. I was happily surprised he remembered those details from my previous visit 2 weeks earlier! He is very gentle and explains everything step by step as he is working on your tooth. He takes his time and checks in with you, "how your are feeling?"; etc. My appointment did not feel rushed at all. He is a great detail oriented dentist! The Receptionist is also friendly and professional. She always gives you reminder calls and texts about your upcoming appointments : ) The Dental Hygienists are also very kind and professional. Overall, I would recommend "Today's Dentistry" to anyone in need of dental work. FIVE STARS! read more

Last year I was looking for a new dentist, so I made an appointment for teeth cleaning with Dr. Soe of Today's Dentistry, because of its nearby location. First bad impression: The trash bins in both the bathroom (inside, next to receptionist) and the lobby were packed to the top with trash, and flies hovering above. The dental equipment looks modern (chairs with an LCD screen to watch TV), but when u get close enough it looks a bit worn out. Dr. Soe was busy with another patient, so I waited awhile. The nurse who took my x-rays was a bit inexperienced, and had to retake a few. I saw her deleting her mistakes, but she didn't say anything to me. Including errors, she took a total of 24 digital x-rays (should only be 18 x-rays). Dr. Soe told me that the x-rays showed 6 cavities (not true, see below). And insisted on doing the fillings on the same day, but I declined. The teeth cleaning was very light and short (too short, in my opinion). The receptionist scheduled a 2nd appointment for the fillings (I cancelled it later). I take good care of my teeth, so I wanted a 2nd opinion. I went to a different dentist and didn't tell them about the previous diagnosis, so they took their own set of x-rays. And yes, more exposure to radiation can cause brain tumors. Anyways, they told me the x-rays showed only one very small cavity. Not 6, as quoted by Soe. Obviously, I'm never going back to Dr. Soe. Note: I went to a dental school clinic. The only place I could find dentists not motivated by money. I waited months to get an appointment and get that 1 small cavity filled (the reason why it took so long to post this review). So my solution might not be convenient for other people. Don't let a dishonest dentist make unnecessary (just to make money) extra holes into your teeth and cap them with fillings. It might weaken your tooth's structure, later leading to an expensive crown replacement. Maybe patients with very bad teeth which require expensive procedures (profitable for dentist), might have a better experience with this doctor than me. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Soe for the past 10 or so years, and it's alway a pleasure meeting a dentist of his caliber - both compassion and skill. During every visit you can tell he genuinely tries his best in treating you and also treats everyone with great respect. His prices are reasonable as compared to my prior dentists ime. Though having dental care done is never the most pleasant thing we look for doing, under Dr. Soe's gentle care it definitely minimizes my anxiety and discomfort level. Thanks Dr. Soe! read more
