It has been a full 8 years of going from one dentist to the next having bad experiences at each one... until now! I found Theresa Asbury-Falo's office through a family friend and I'm so thankful. Angie is the sweetest person and helped me schedule my appointment with no issues. The rest of the team is amazing too, always upbeat and inviting. They all make you feel like they genuinely care about you and make sure you are comfortable the whole time, from the moment you walk in the door, to sitting in their chair, to scheduling your next appointment. Theresa is so sweet and really great at what she does. She is honest about what she recommends and doesn't try and do unnecessary treatments.

The appointment scheduling they do is so hard because they hygienist is rarely there and they don't have a back up for her when she's out. But the worst part is the billing. I'm not sure if Dr. Kelley knows what's going on with the billing issue or not, but hopefully he'll read this and find out. For 3 or 4 weeks I kept getting bills and when I finally got a response from the staff I was told that's just how they do the billing and I'll get a refund check. The deal breaker was when we get charged for a missed appointment that they had us reschedule.

It's hard to find honest and hard-working Dentist and we're so lucky to have him! He is also funny and down to earth. Staff was very friendly, professional, and keep a very clean office. Dr. Mireles has been around for years, I used to remember when he had the office in Greenfield. When I moved from the OC I had gone to another Dentist very well known in Salinas and they had told me that I needed three things done urgently Dr Mireles took an in-depth look and said one does need to be addressed, but the other two we can monitor! Super honest in this day and age very hard to find!

Went to this dentist recently with a dental emergency involving my partners back molars. He needed…read morea root canal and some fillings. This dentist got me in immediately which was great, the receptionist and nurses were fantastic. There was a couple of things that happened though that weren't fantastic. This place said they took Medi-cal. My partner and I are both broke low income college students and we were looking for a dentist that would specifically take medi- cal. This place claimed they did but after the very LONG consultation (about an hour and half of waiting in the lobby with no other patients waiting with me) they told my partner he needed around 20,000 dollars of dental care and medi-cal wasn't going to cover it. Excuse me? We have full cover medi-cal, all of it was just bullshit. We also went to a different dentist (CaliDental in Marina) yesterday and guess what NOT 20,000 DOLLARS WORTH OF WORK... and ding ding ding they take our medi cal. The other thing that through me off is they have a dog that is walking around the whole office. No not just the lobby, in the dental rooms where patients are being treated as well. INCREDIBLY UNSANITARY. Listen I love dogs, don't take them to a medical office, and no, this dog didn't have a service dog vest. Lastly, the lead dentist is awful. His own nurses were pissed at how long he was taking to just SEE my partner. Saying stuff to him like "his partner has been waiting in the lobby for almost an hour and a half, get on it." All in all this place is unsanitary, scammy and the dentist looks like he needs to retire. The only good thing I can say is the receptionist and nurses are kind, their booking is fast and easy, and they were at least able to put a temporary root canal cap on the tooth that needed work. We came out of pocket for that without even attempting to see if medi cal would cover it. Look. I know medi cal isn't accepted everywhere, I also know medi cal doesn't pay doctors or practices a very fair price; but don't say you take medi cal and just decide you don't because you don't wanna do the work. We have full coverage, just be honest.

I'll be honest--walking into a new dental office made me a little nervous, but Darci (the assistant) was so warm and welcoming. She gave me a quick little tour and totally helped ease my nerves. It honestly felt like visiting a friend's office! Dr. Goldman was amazing--super knowledgeable and took the time to go over everything with me. She even complimented the onlays and veneers I had done previously, which made me feel like she really noticed the details. AJ, my hygienist, was also fantastic. He was so professional and made me feel completely at ease while taking my oral records. He asked thoughtful questions about my dental habits and even gave me a few helpful flossing tips I hadn't heard before. Plus, the office is beautiful and fully equipped with modern technology and little touches that remind me of my old dentist's place (which I loved). It's also super convenient with my work schedule--huge bonus! If you're looking for a dental office that's professional and personal, I highly recommend Salinas Valley Dental Care. They're officially my new favorite place for that fresh, clean teeth feeling.

When the work fell out, I contacted the office to let them know there was a problem. Because we had since moved out of state and our insurance would not cover the repair, I asked what options might be available. I was told the only way they would address the issue was if I returned to their office in California so they could examine it themselves. Unfortunately, flying back to California would have cost as much as simply paying to have the repair done by a dentist where I now live. I also asked for the dentist who performed the work to call me back, but I never received a call. The lack of follow-through and unwillingness to stand behind their work was very disappointing. Based on this experience, I would not return to this office, even if I moved back to the area!!
