I'll admit, this sits at the higher end of hairdresser salons. I'm pretty confident that this is usually a bookings only type deal, but at the same time, the hairdressers are quite skilled at their craft. Even so, I got a reasonably priced haircut, and got the shampoo treatment which was quite nice indeed. There was a sole hairdresser on shift on this day, but she did a great job, never getting flustered or rushing and treating customers very well. It was much better than the queue up, "next please, next please," type of super busy place. Lou Salon was not something I was looking for, but it was a worthy find.

I went in for a cut and colour, and left dissatisfied with the results of both. The colour matching wasn't right (too much red and not enough brown), and the cut was shorter than I asked for. It was also really expensive and not worth it at that price - I could have gone to another salon with a regular stylist, for a better result.

They offer a wide range of services from Keratin Treatments, Hair Extensions, Professional Make Up and of course Cut, Colour and Blow Wave. I found they really took the time before and during my treatment to make sure they fully understood my requirements and also made sure I was happy with the way it was progressing. All in all a high quality salon with a great selection of capable stylists on staff, and located right in the middle of Chapel Street there is an elegant and boutique feel to this hair salon without the pretentiousness.

Hacked my hair and didn't make it right…read more I've been going to this salon for four years and seeing the same stylist. Recently, the stylist made a mistake that had to be rectified by cutting my hair very short. I hate the cut and asked to come back a few days later for some more adjustment. I also requested a meeting with the owner to discuss being charged for the adjustment cut. I was told by email that I would be granted no meeting and that she believes the cut to be the result of a "mutual misunderstanding." Even though the stylist told me last week that he would adjust the cut if I requested it later, this has apparently now been retracted. I have been a loyal customer of this salon for years, and have even weathered another botched cut with them. The stylist made a mistake in the cut and acknowledged it at the time. Our four-years long relationship started when another stylist made the same mistake, and he started correcting it. I recommend that you try another salon if you want to work with people who will acknowledge loyalty, address concerns cooperatively, and seek to build a relationship.
