I have an extensive cardiac history for someone as young as myself so I feel I needed someone who was attentive & compassionate. Well where to begin... Dr. Toce has a never-ending sarcastic sense of humor which "gets old" real fast... he seems to have an unhealthy obsession with toes--of which of mine he made many comments about--none of were medical related...plain weird (& unprofessional perhaps..) he's too quick to anticipate what you're going to say & has pretty much made his mind up BEFORE hearing what your concerns are! Frustrating! His front office staff was very quick to dismiss a situation that occurred that really needed attention (not ER type of attention but still warranted a phone call back)--Doctor didn't call me back for 2.5 days. They flat out refused to even try to book an appointment for me. I was his patient for almost two years before I finally had enough. Perhaps the clincher for me was when I needed to have my pacemaker replaced. "Routine" procedure turned into a nightmare...incompetent at the very least & entirely poor treatment received! I would never recommend him or his practice to anyone! **Only two positives: 1) his assistant Karen is awesome & entirely caring & compassionate! 2) gentleman who does the echocardiogram is totally professional. Please don't see this guy if you have any heart concerns/issues...there are many other choices of competent cardiologists out there!! read more
