This place is amazing. The ceviche is the best I ever tried. The tlayudas were great and the drinks are top.

I mostly like this place to watch NFL games... rarely anybody there. They also have a good selection of drinks and food.

I don't eat meat and was looking for ceviche or some sort of seafood plate.

We were able to get a seat right away and the servers were super helpful. My friend wanted to try some mezcal and they let us taste a couple before choosing. We sat at the restaurant instead of the bar because it was cuter and I wanted food too. I tried two of their fruity mezcal drinks and loved both. I forget the names but one had watermelon, and the other had coconut and lime. I ordered cheese stuffed plantains with mole and this was soooo good. It was very filling too!

I thought it was funny when I got the menu and the food menu was only one page while the drink menu was five pages. The outside of the restaurant is blue-ish and the restaurant has multiple rooms. The ceviche del dia ($190 MXN) was a little sweet and not as tart or sour as others I've had. The tacos de sirloin ($170) were really good and were our group's favorite. The taquitos dorados de mole negro ($140) were okay; there was no meat just in case you were wondering. The aguachile rojo de camaron ($190) were good. The esquite con tuetano ($100) was not like a typical corn in a cup but it was closer to a corn soup. For drinks I had the pequeño gigante ($210) which was good. The paloma madura and paloma margarita were both favorites among our group. We went during the day and it wasn't that busy but supposedly it gets way busier and livelier at night.

There are 2 locations for In Situ now - we went to Bodega Versus, Reforma 306 (Versus is another In…read moreSitu brand). Small place, tasting counter up front, little bar in back. David was our tour guide - spoke good English, which was great because we're kinda new to mezcal (my Spanish is passable, but I would've missed a lot). He asked us about the things we liked to drink, and set us each up with 3 tasting glasses. Oh, it was amazing! Our favorite ended with an aftertaste of roses. We shared our little cups, so in all we tasted 12 mezcals (David brought us an extra round). Went back a few nights later, sat in the bar and Olivia mixed us some delicious cocktails, and David brought back samples of the mezcals from the cocktails. Sigh! I'd highly recommend reserving a tasting with David - it was just us, and we had his full attention. He is the most gracious and knowledgeable of hosts, and I feel I was properly introduced to mezcal.

I'd suggest you pick three on your own and save a few bucks, we would have spent less than 250 pesos if we would have picked them ourselves. The cards were in Spanish only as well as the bartender telling us about them was great but my partner doesn't speak Spanish so I had to translate.
