Fairly decent selection of cigars in a spacious humidor, although the staff was uninformed and indifferent at best. I asked for information about a particular brand of cigar and the oh so helpful salesperson who could not provide any information sought details from a coworker. We purchased two different kinds (rum maple and very cherry). It is difficult to find good quality pipe tobacco and we usually end up ordering online. I go there at least twice a week because I work nearby and there are no other coffee shops around the vicinity. It is convenient and prices are standard and they do an ok job of making my Latte. Usually there isn't much of a wait and though have not been impressed with the customer service, I haven't really had anything to complain about either. Until today. Today I went in and there were a few people in line. One of the employees returned from her break and helped a customer at the end of the line. Hello? Am I invisible? When I asked her why she helped him (he was a regular by the way, they knew him by name) she said "I am on break". Oh, my bad, that explains a lot. And I knew that HOW?????? Sheesh! Then she helped me (I guess she must have been off break now?). Her co-worker walked over to her and whispered something in her ear that I could not hear. HOW RUDE! I have gotten the wrong carton of cigs 3 times there ( I don't see well) they wouldn't take the unopened carton back without a receipt and I go there 4 times a month. To top it off if you use a debit card you get socked with a 5.00 fee. Bring cash or you're in trouble. It's a YOB for most of these folks. read more

I like the occasional cigar and Tobacco'n Brew has a good selection and they carry my favorite one. I bought a carton a cigarettes for my mom here and my sister said that was the cheapest price she's knows of. We were going to make beer can chicken and they didn't have a decent beer in the can. I had to go to Bev Mo for that. The two women behind the counter had a wonderful conversation about how one of them had too much fun the night before and she had a hangover. I am a retired USCG veteran. This is one of my favorite places to go. I meet other veterans, find good coffee, good service and smiles. If I choose to dish out a little teasing - they return the favor. I see several "negative" comments from what I consider to be immature little runts - GUESS WHAT? You don't have enough EXPERIENCE in life to make a judgement that anybody cares about. Kids when you grow up - find someone who cares about what you think - in the mean time - we will IGNORE you. I've been in the store on 2 occasions. The first time was with my sister to purchase cigars for a boyfriend. This was in october or november so we both wore jackets. We were told we had to remove our jackets to go walking to the humidor. We declined and left, she purchased cigars elsewhere. The next time I went and was to purchase butane for my lighter. I somehow got in the wrong place I guess and was told quite rudely by this lady that I didn't belong back there. This was in the main part of the store and I guess in area would consider sacred. I would give up smoking cigars before I would ever darken the doorway of that place again. I buy cigars online now (cheaper prices and great service), or visit a great Cigar Lounge in Loomis,California. I bought a good amount of cigars here including a 10.25 Joya de Nicaragua which I just tried to light. I should have been more suspicious of the price tag on the bands location. I tried to light it and it made a noise as a was drawing in. The noise was air. When I removed the band there was a large hole in the cigar. I am posting the picture. read more

Awful, awful place. Employees are extremely low caliber people, and the owner doesn't give a damn about customer service. Would rather stand over your shoulder and carry on a conversation with his employees than even acknowledge the fact that he's got customers in his store, let alone answer their questions or help them make a selection. The pipes sold here are jokes, with the highest quality being Dr. Grabow, which themselves are available at Walgreens or Rite-Aid for a cheaper price. The "pipe tobacco blends"... I don't even know what that syrupy crap is, but it certainly isn't pipe tobacco. More like incense. I couldn't find a single tin of anything halfway decent in this, "establishment." The coffee bar side of the place was run by these two kids who had zero interest (i'm seeing a pattern here) in acknowledging the fact that I was standing in front of them, scanning their "menu". This place advertises itself as a seller of premium coffee, but all I saw were overly sweetened Starbucks knock-offs. I saw a huge line of people there to buy lottery tickets or garbage cigarettes. If you're looking for a tobacco store with a higher standard, look elsewhere. read more

Long time customer, wonderful store. Wife went in tonight to get a couple packs of smokes and paid with debit card. Charged and extra dollar because it wasn't $10.00. I buy my beer a lot there and my wife's cigs by the carton normally. Money is a little tight right now so she got two packs and got to pay an extra dollar. Rude! Rude! Rude! This place definitely needs a lesson in customer service! They lie to you and say they can't sell you more than two packs of cigarettes when they are on sale because it's "in their contract." No, it isn't. RJ Reynolds doesn't care who's buying how many, nor does Philip Morris, they just care about consumers buying them. I know this because I work retail and deal with vendors from various tabacco companies regularly. If it's your "policy" , hey, great! Say that! Don't lie to your customers, as they provide a service for you too, PAYING YOUR BILLS. You wouldn't BE here if it weren't for us consumers. And second, when customers engage each other to ask questions, don't sit there and glare at them because you had a shit answer, and I apparently was explaining it better. Then yell as I apologise to your customer that I have to make an exit because you got pissed off that I was speaking to them. Really? Grow up. I'll never be back to this dingy, dirty, down right nasty little place. I'd rather pay more money, where someone APPRECIATES my business, than pay less to get treated like shit in your run down establishment. I can't wait till they bulldoze this place. A public toilet would be much more efficient in its place as far as I'm concerned. read more
