Friendly, helpful staff, laid back atmosphere. Walk-in humidor has a nice selection, featuring all the major brands. Prices about the same as any brick and mortar store in metro-Detroit. Lounge features high-top tables if you want to play a game of chess or get some work done, as well as leather lounge chairs for relaxing. Free WiFi if you're looking to get some work done. Nice size TV for watching sports or anything you'd like. They don't have any drinks, but will let you buy booze at the liquor store next store and drink it there if you'd like. Unlike many cigar stores, younger folks like myself don't get strange looks from the older gentlemen that frequent these stores, probably due to its proximity to the university. Overall, looking forward to my next visit! read more

The store for last few months has not been well stocked. Recently they went from 12 to 5 seating in the smoking room. The price of cigars are creeping up. Due to the lack of selection the higher price cigars are now becoming the go to. Very disappointed for a place that was well stocked and priced decently. My rating is dropping due lack of inventory, pricing, and seating changes. Service by Joe and Chris is excellent. read more

Under poor new management. No management ever in a store. Same person there daily selling defective smoking devices.

Cool Cool place to go and not just get a great cigar but hang out in the back room man cave with always a fun cast of characters. The owner Chris is cool and Joe who works there can point out great smokes that wont break the bank. read more

I have been coming for a number of year and both Chris and Joe are welcoming to each customer. Joe does a great job and supporting the customer. Good selection of cigars and enjoy the two customer spots to smoke cigars if one wants to. read more

Fantastic shop. Great selection. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely stop in again when I'm in the area.

Very helpful, knowledgeable and easy going! Have been wearing mask when I've stopped in!

Michigan Fans were hospitable and the Bearcats made it a game for three quarters with Tommy T's players. But the victory was finding Tobacco Rose. Second best Cigar Lounge in Michigan, after Tuttles in Grand Rapids. read more

Tobacco Rose Cigars - Tobacco Shops Near Me - Ann Arbor, Michigan

A town is mighty lucky if it can get brash and brawny guys like us off the streets to puff and palaver and avoid being menaces to society for a while. read more

There isn't a cigar store in the area with a better staff or better selection. I don't even bother going anywhere else for cigars, this is THE place. And the Lounge is always full of colorful characters and even more colorful conversation. read more

This is a pretty dang good cigar store, although I have to admit.... is this the same ting as Smokey's? I'm confused. They have a really nice walk-in humidor with more cigars than I could ever hope to smoke, and I found a really nice brick-house for just under $7 and I loved it. I'll definitely be going back to try some of their other delights. Not the best smoke shop in town, but definitely top 3. read more

I came here when looking for Smoky's - I think this may have been Smoky's but is now Tobacco Rose Cigars? Not sure. In any case, this is the best cigar shop in the Ann Arbor area. Their selection is the most impressive I've ever seen at a single shop. They have everything you'd want (Opus X, Davidoff, Drew Estate, My Father, etc) and the guys working at the time were really helpful and seemed like nice guys. They mentioned the lounge is free and open to the public if you're smoking cigars purchased at the shop. I peeked in the lounge and it looks great - leather couches, high-top tables, big-screen TV. I'll definitely be back to purchase some more sticks from them and hang out in the lounge. read more

Great selection of cigars in a good sized walk-in humidor. Very good stocking levels, and some of the staff are very knowledgable. Nice lounge as well, which completes a very comfortable, yet still classy atmosphere. Also well stocked with pipes & pipe tobacco. Overall, this the best smoke shop in Ann Arbor. I recommend it! read more

Great cigar selection! Knowledgeable staff! Nice comfortable area in the back to sample any of the cigars may have purchased. Nice place in Ann Arbor to spend sometime. read more

Really great place with a wide range of cigars to choose from. I really enjoy coming here.

Great selection! Comfortable lounge that is opened to anyone. Chris, the owner, is a really good guy and eager to make customers happy. Great location, between the coffee shop and the market. Great place to watch a game or do a little work if you're waiting downtown. read more

My home away from home. Selection is wonderful and the ventilation is great. Chris is very knowledgable and a fun guy to have a stick with. Will always stop in when I'm in Ann Arbor. read more

Small shop but very well stocked humidor. Always has my favorite cigars (Davidoff) and the staff is really nice and knowledgeable

I'm not a cigar guy and this store is better suited for them. The employees are nice and know cigars a lot better than I do. I smoke a pipe exclusively and miss the good old days. The only bad thing I can say is the parking lot's a mad house. read more

Great cigar shop. Chris is a very knowledgeable and friendly owner. Fun group of regulars. If you are in Ann Arbor check it out.

This is the one and only stop for all your best smokes in town at the best prices! I use all types of tobacco from Cigars, American Spirit's to Grizzly and I wont buy anywhere else in town because I know the staff will answer every question I might have regarding new products. Hands down the best!!! Also they have events that are always a pleasure to attend. Like them on FB to know when they have such events. read more

The best place in town, bar none. Great selection, great location. The lounge is a awesome place for catching a game while having a smoke; they often stay open late for important games and it's not unusual for a local sports celeb or two to be there. The staff is knowledgeable and super friendly and the huge walk-in humidor and lockers are awesome. I can tell that I'll be spending a lot of time there. read more
