What can I say- I LOVE my gym- it's simply the best! First off, the staff are ALL so friendly, kind & accessible. I love how everyone at the front desk greets you & looks you in the eye when you come in the door & says goodbye again when you leave. I adore my class instructors & appreciate their knowledge, expertise & dedication. Ok more loves: my fellow gym members for sure, & then, how about the actual space- I love how clean and spacious it is & that it never feels overcrowded, from the class & equipment rooms to the salt water swimming pool. Thank you all for making this gym feel welcoming, supportive & fun! read more

Love Toadal Fitness !!! Super Clean ! Great equipment and always adding new stuff. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Favorite Gym by far highly recommend read more

I recommend just about everything about this place with one extremely annoying exception. Flit start with the positive. The staff is friendly. The place is clean, including the bathrooms and changing rooms and not malodorous. They have a salt water pool which is heated They have a large open space and lots of equipment. I rarely have to wait to use the equipment. No matter what time of day I come. Sounds great. Now, for the negative, they have excruciatingly loud hand dryers in the changing rooms. This is also true for the total fitness on the west side of santa cruz.I have clocked them at seventy decibels, which is below jet engine but not by much. Alas the women are all very clean and wash their hands frequently. So I have to use earplugs when I'm in the changing room in order not to have actual pain in my right ear. read more

I go to Toadal Fitness almost every day! The staff is super nice, the pool is heated and great for laps, the yoga room is great and peaceful for stretching, and the sauna is my favorite way to top off a work out. They have great classes like kickboxing, yoga, and Zumba. I like the friendly, laid back feel of the gym and the would highly recommend :) read more

Talked to Stephanie on the phone and met with her yesterday to join Toadal Fitness. I'm a senior and signed up under their very affordable senior membership. Stephanie was a joy to talk with and very knowledgeable about the facility and programs. Toadal Fitness is very modern and offers many activities I'm excited about. Give Stephanie a call and let her know the "nice" Karen said HELLO. read more

I use the sauna and pool. The sauna is a dry cedar one... Very nice! The pool is salt water heated to 85degrees! There is a sunbathing area beside the pool. And, of course, there are yoga classes and more. I love this club! read more

My name is Cathy & I have been trying to obtain membership for sometime now. On day one, I was advised that I can get membership to your location with my medical insurance company. I signed up immediately & discovered that my membership would not be allowed for Toadal Fitness but for a place in either Gilroy or in Morgan Hills. I want my membership here in Watsonville & not anywhere else will do for me at all. I may travel for work but I want membership here in town where I live. I spoke to my medical insurance company again and learned about Silver Sneakers. I am not gonna be in that age group for another six more years and and I am just hoping that you can agree to the following statement. Please consider a partnership with the "Prime" side of Tivity Health since they are already a partner of "SilverSneakers." That way, I can obtain membership at your facility. I would be eternally grateful for your cooperation in this. This is the owner's response to my very kind request.... Unfortunately we have been asked many times about prime side of Tivity health and it has no interest for us. We wish it was different Sorry for the bad news In good health Is this a gym anybody wants to do business with? Please tell me personally... I triple dare you. read more

This is a fantastic gym overall. The pool, sauna, and showers are all excellent, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the local members make it a warm welcoming experience. The pricing is reasonable, and everything about the gym makes it a great place to work out. I definitely recommend Toadal Fitness in Watsonville for your next training session! read more

Truly a nice place to work out. Nice steam sauna and plenty of newer equipment. Nothing compares to this in Santa Cruz county.

I joined this gym for the pool access and I wasn't disappointed! They completely renovated it and you can tell how nice it is especially compared to the last gym that was there. It's a saltwater filtration system, so no chlorine irritation or smell. It's on the chilly side, but as a former competitive swimmer that is much appreciated compared to the bathtub-like conditions at Gold's Gym. I think it's a couple inches shy of 25 yards, but close enough! They have a nice reservation system that makes it easy to make sure you have your own lane, even though I think most people would appreciate a longer time slot than 30 minutes. Staff is nice, bathrooms are clean, easy to sign up, pause or cancel membership if needed. Highly recommend! read more

Toadal Fitness - Gorgeous renovated saltwater pool - Gyms Near Me - Watsonville, California

I really hope I'm remembering their name correctly, but Jayden at the front desk was so helpful when I signed up. I haven't been to the gym in years, and even though I used to be a total gym junkie, the gym anxiety has always been real. Having such a friendly and welcoming person greet me really helped ease me back into the space. Jayden made the whole sign-up process incredibly easy and took the time to explain everything in such great detail. I left feeling confident, informed, and excited to get started. Thank you, Jayden, for making my return to the gym such a positive experience! read more

The options for varied workouts are many; and the facilities and staff offer a warm and welcoming environment no matter your level of fitness. Multiple locations across SC county make it easy to hop in and get a solid workout. I was met by Chloé, who was very helpful; with a kind and patient approach to walking me through all the options and locations. Highly recommend Toadal to anyone at any stage of their fitness journey! read more

Just recently had an unpleasant experience at this place. I live very close by and since it is next to my work I found this location very convenient and was considering joining this gym until the two people at the front desk couldn't answer a simple question and just acted like I was an inconvenience. Upon arrival I introduced myself to the lady working the front desk, told her I was meeting co-workers here who are members, and wanted to get a day pass. She immediately said "Oh, we are not doing those today" and shrugged her shoulders. When I asked her why she just rolled her eyes and gave me attitude, told me to come back around 9:30am to speak to a someone that deals with the membership. I left, came back and got the runaround again, by another guy who I found out later is a trainer, when I asked my co-worker about my terrible experience, he told me the neither people I spoke to are members. The whole experience put me off. I spoke to Jayden about my situation and he was helpful. Please educate your staff on proper etiquette because this was so frustrating and poor customer service skills. Overall; I ended up going to Body Zone down the street and had a better experience. Their employees knew how to answer my simple questions, I was able to get a day pass, going to join them when they re-open indoors in May. First impression are crucial and they dropped the ball BIG TIME! read more

The staff here at Toadal are absolutely phenomenal! It was nice and clean for my tour around. I was guided around the club and asked what my interests were. I even received recommendations. Amazing gym to go to ... aside from having a lot of things like saunas, outdoor pool, and many classes. Child care for those that need it ... the main thing is the VIBE . Friendly staff ... would recommend for anyone .. advance to beginner. And you can upgrade to a 24/7 membership to help with those that only have time at night or closed hours for most gyms in town. And they are still upgrading with new equipment. read more

I came with a friend for silver sneakers sign up. We were greeted with a friendly staff member and although we had set up an appointment time the following day with a 'tour' we never did receive one. In addition, once we signed up for the $35/month - an extremely nominal fee, we were never offered our two free personal trainer sessions and were unfamiliar with how some of the equipment worked. We gave ourselves a 'self tour' and are hoping for the promised trainer sessions. We have recently taken the senior exercise class and the instructor is engaging and a lot of fun. It is a pretty good work out as well. It is nice that it isn't swarming with people and it is quite easy to get on any machine if you go during the day. Toni R read more

This place just makes me upset. I feel like they lack any common sense despite owning several other gyms. Am I responsible for turning on the fans every time I go in? Summer is starting and upstairs is straight up hot and the fans are never on. The other day the entire top floor spelled of extremely strong BO but there were no fans on. The gym is getting super busy and its like they dont even try to swap out the brown cleaning towels anymore, they're always soaked. The floors are never clean, and I'm not taking about one or two strands of hair, I'm taking about clumps of hair, sand, dirt, etc. Now they have pics about about voting for the newest equipment. How about no more new equipment until you get a deep cleaning? read more

I joined Toadal earlier this year and have had great experiences. I've gone multiple times a week and find the staff very friendly and caring. I feel very comfortable in this gym and the atmosphere other members have created. I've brought friends and family with day passes and most enjoyed the place enough to join. They have many classes offered and keep adding more. I've only attended cycling, which was very fun! I hear the others are just as enjoyable. They have a great daycare; My younger siblings ask to stay long when it is time to go! Overall, Toadal Fitness in Watsonville is excellent, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a locally owned gym with staff that cares! (Jesus is the best! Convinced me to get the membership when I was searching, and I have had no regrets! Super Friendly!) read more

I do love this gym, I came from another gym while this location was still under construction and signed up for access at multiple locations about a year ago. The owners are friendly and funny, and the staff at all the locations are always in a great mood and give great service to everyone. I will give a fair perspective of the general etiquette from other gym goers and the environment. Its awful. I usually go after hours so i am not sure its like this all the time but, there are always people throwing weights, leaving them all over the place, crowding workout areas, one night I walked into a room and some dude had his shirt off posing in front of the mirror, like??? I found a pile of pistachio shells in another room last week! Actually, once I did go in during daytime hours and some lady was talking on the phone in the sauna. Loudly.... basically any sign that is posted everyone will ignore. The strange thing is that it is only this location that has a complete lack of gym etiquette. The five stars is for the business itself, the staff and the layout, everything else... 10/10. I just wanted to let people know if they are looking at this gym, to expect people to behave like absolute jackasses. read more

I signed up with total fitness with my son in the summer of 23 before their pool was complete and as they were doing renovations. A couple months later my son passed away and the facility was still not open to the public and the pool was going to be months away. A representative called me and I told her what happened and said I really didn't think I could do this and she suggested that I wait and see if I really wanted to stop my membership and she adjusted it so that my sons membership was deleted. After sometime I sent an email to say that I wanted to cancel and then periodically over this last several months. I see a charge for total fitness so again I sent an email as was suggested by the receptionist in Watsonville. I still haven't heard anything. I believe I should have a total refund from all the months that they've charged me, and until that happens, I will not recommend them. My stepdaughter also told me she had problems with Toadal fitness about canceling her membership. Although that was a different facility. My facility is Watsonville specific. I've been there twice and still not had any response. I don't know if they are going to charge me or if they are going to stop charging me or if I'm gonna get a refund or I'm gonna be cheated out of the months that they've continued to charge me even though I've never stepped foot in there to use the facility but only to ask them to cancel my membership. This is most unsatisfactory and buyer beware! read more

Love Toadal Fitness! The staff is always so friendly and I love the environment here, I always feel so welcomed every time I come in :)

I had THE WORST EXPERIENCE AT BODY ZONE so I decided to try TOADAL. I don't know if they hired new staff (reading past reviews)but the staff is always friendly, helpful and professional both in person and over the phone. Ive been a member almost a year now and I don't have any complaints. The setup of the equipment flows and I like that the members can vote for new equipment. read more
