So far so good. They've been proactive getting records, including diagnostics. I had to reschedule…read moreonce, they had to reschedule once, we both called many days prior to adjust appointment day. Angelia, Emily and Lori have been very helpful on phone and in lobby. I was out of important treatment for a kidney (CKD) cat which they fixed in less than an hour to get the history needed to keep us on his fluid schedule. I'll meet a doctor who is cat saavy and patient, good with my geriatrics and fosters? Then, we'll finally have a local vet after moving many months ago. We'll not spread thin days I need medical care and they need vet care. Still gonna use our specialist prn and our plans followed by our veteran NC teams. Now we need an effective, calm trainer for some young dog anxiety desens and adult dog Nosework! Any suggestions? Driving to Hillsborough or Burlington otherwise...

I would not recommend Animal Medical Center to anyone who truly cares about their furry child. This…read moreis a privately owned vet with little to no professionalism. My dog was permanently expelled from their daycare due to supposed "behavior issues" that appeared out of nowhere. I was never informed of any issues until just this past week, when they gave him two "strikes." Today, they issued a third strike simply because I requested a more detailed incident report to better understand what was happening. Instead of addressing my concerns, the staff claimed that my request for clarification was "threatening." Asking for facts and transparency should never be viewed as a threat. I even sent an email requesting a call from the owner, but my message was ignored. Instead, I was told that both my dog and I are permanently banned from the premises. The most contradictory part? They claim my dog is too "aggressive" for daycare or boarding, yet stated they would still provide him with medical care if needed. If he were truly a danger, how would they safely provide care? The inconsistency is both alarming and unprofessional. Never in a million years would I have thought that asking for facts about my dog's care and behavior could be twisted into something negative. Their handling of this situation shows a complete lack of accountability, communication, and respect for both pets and their owners. Please refer to pics of email sent.

My Euthanasia/Cremation Experience…read more It has taken me awhile to write this review, but I felt the facility deserved it. They were outstanding during a terrible time. They were extremely respectful and understanding of the event (euthanasia/cremation) that was going to take place. FIRST, The tech allowed me to pay prior (which I am so grateful for, because I probably would've forgotten to pay. Plus it allowed me to slip out and go bawl in my car.) SECOND, I recalled people talking in the hallway as the euthanasia was about to take place and the tech gently slipped out and asked them to respect what was going on. I don't think she may have understood how thoughtful that was to us, but I can't express how meaningful that meant. LASTLY, The facility mailed a condolences card signed by the staff to the house. Now, here is what I would advise anyone that is going to go through this. 1) Have someone with you. I wanted to do it alone; however I am so grateful my mother went with me. Honestly, my mind wasn't in the right place and it allowed me to hold my little girl on the way there. 2) I had never been in the room when the euthanasia is taking place (this is your choice). I decided to stay; however, I wish I would've left before the final injection (first is to sedate, second is to stop the heart). I brought her favorite blanket for her to go to sleep on, but wanted it back (for keepsake). I held her in my arms in her favorite blanket as they sedated her and transferring her to the table she was limp. I recommend allowing them to put your dog on their blanket and having the dogs blanket beside them. This will allow you not to experience transferring them (which seeing them so limp could be traumatic). The limp part wasn't so traumatic as the next part. The vet informed me of the injections; however, when the final injection was given my poor precious little girl arched and stiffened up. I wasn't prepared nor ready to see this. I quickly informed the vet and tech I didn't want to see this and left the room. I wish I never saw or experienced that (I don't believe all dogs do that); however, that picture stayed in my head for days. That isn't how I wanted to remember her, so this is my reason for my review to warn or prepare others, so they don't have to experience that hunting image. Overall the facility and staff were amazing. The cremation box was beautiful and was beyond my expectations. I didnt hold back and got all the paw and nose prints. Yes, it was pretty pricey, but well worth it.

This was an absolutely terrible day for Mom and me. They took great care of our dog. I do not want…read moreto add more for my review it is a sad story
