Long post alert! I…read morewent to take my birthday pictures today and decided on a laundromat concept. After searching on Yelp for the most aesthetic laundromat in New Orleans, Holy Sheets came up as #1...and once I saw the photos, I already knew this was the one. The floors alone sold me! I also had an oversized blanket to wash, so I figured I could kill two birds with one stone. When I arrived, I sat and waited for my photographer, then went to ask a staff member a question about starting my wash. That's when she let me know photos weren't allowed, but she offered to check with the owner. A few minutes later, he arrived (I hate that I can't remember his name), greeted customers, and then came over to speak with me. I explained it was for my birthday shoot, and he kindly let me know it was a busy time and he didn't want to make other customers uncomfortable, but he offered to schedule another time for us to come back. Very respectful and professional. Of course, with a scheduled shoot, we couldn't really pivot like that, so I thanked him and started making other plans. BUT then...he came back and said we could go ahead and take pictures, just to be mindful of customers and stay on one side. That meant so much! Even though people naturally started moving into that area (lol), we made it work, and he was super accommodating the entire time. I really appreciated that level of kindness and flexibility. Now let's talk about the space, this laundromat is BEAUTIFUL, if laundromats can be beautiful lol. Clean, bright, and very well-maintained. The floors? Stunning. The machines were all in working order, plenty of baskets available, and I love that they offer full-service wash and fold options too. What stood out the most was the customer service. He greeted people as they came in, listened attentively to customers, and created a welcoming environment. Overall, such a great experience. Thank you for being a part of making my birthday special!

Okay, so I haven't ventured to many laundromats but I can tell you that this one is the bomb.com!…read moreThere are ample washers and dryers (even on the weekends, I never have to wait to wash). There are nice laundry carts available for use. And if you forgot your detergent - no worries, there are several options available for purchase. Upon my first visit, some of the machines were having issues, but the employee on shift gladly helped me get a different machine started and paid for the new wash cycle. The forty lb washer is $6.50 per load, but I am able to get 1-2 weeks worth of laundry washed all at once. Additionally, the dryer price ranges from 25 cents to $1 per ten minutes (depending on the size of the dryer) but I am able to get that large load of clothes dried in thirty minutes! Which is much faster than the dryers I am used to using in my undergraduate dorm (lol). Give this laundromat your business if you are located in the ninth ward/Arabi/Chalmette area!! I highly recommend.

Today I put clothes in a dryer(2 dryers over from the big one) and put $2 in for 40 minutes. It turned on then off. it's broken. The lady told me because I had towels in this small machine I can't get a refund. She used her phone to translate and let me read her reply. Please put a note on this broken dryer So other loyal customers don't have to lose money like I did. I will not step foot in this business again. If the machine is broken you may not get your money back either. You've lost a loyal customer over $2.

I've been extremely busy lately and wanted a business that could wash, dry, and fold clothes as well as dry clean. My white towels have never been whiter and she hung all my pants and tops on the store's hangers! I am overjoyed and will return.

That's the kind of neighborhood kindness you don't forget. The place itself is always clean, and the vibe is laid back and friendly. Folks here tend to look out for each other--like letting someone use the leftover minutes on a washer or dryer instead of wasting them. The machines work great if you use them the way they're meant to--just remember to give your loose articles an extra spin to make sure everything's fully dry. All in all, it feels like a real community laundromat where people are nice if you're nice. Can't ask for more than that.

I don't understand this type of regulation and whose idea it was. I clarify that I come here to wash and dry my clothes and the only one I come to dry is my baby's, they should take this into account that I imagine that it has not only happened to me and as it bothers me I suppose many people too, The person who took me out of the laundry is the lady who speaks Spanish and English. They also called to make sure I was using a container that would keep everything together for the sake of their drivers which I thought was sweet. It was a little more than I was expecting but admittedly that's my fault because I didn't check to see how much I put in the hamper. Plus when they sent me my clothes back not a thing was missing and they sent along a little toy! It's a small golden egg with a disco ball and a little poem about laundry inside which I thought was really cute. My kitten loved the egg and has been whacking it around the house since.
