We were not chintsy at all when it came to budgeting and planning, as we believe that an initial investment in quality would pay off in the long run. Russ at citadel said that the energy efficient products we were interested in, would all together make an awesome product. Fast forward nearly three years, and we have had such a host of problems I dont know where to begin. Tail ends of projects not completed (little details, but still incomplete). Air quality issues in my husbands office (that was one of our top priorities on instal) that took nearly 2 years to address, and even then wasn't done how it was discussed, and will now require us building a pony wall to hide and muffle a fan in his office that was supposed to be inline in the floor of the house to minimize noise. Ducting issues in the attic leading to water damage on our ceilings and walls. The biggest problem of all has been boiler issues. In two years the core of our boiler has rotted out, the copper pipes and fittings have all leaked. We have tried to get a hold of Russ to find out where to get the proper pH balancing product to use with what he has already put in our in floor heat system, and get no answer back. On further research trying to figure it out ourselves, we learned that Reverse Osmosis water (what we drink) should never be used in metal pipes and a boiler system as it is Ionically aggressive, and that it will eat the pipes and fittings, which is exactly what it has done. The proper way to deal with it is to flush the system and start fresh with non RO water. Of course, Russ would have to answer a phone call to discuss this issue. We realize we are 1 hour from Lloydminster, but our time is valuable to. Many times we were booked in for service, made sure to be here, and had no one show up or not even a phone call. Even more frustrating was when there were issues to deal with, not only did the service men not show up on the day scheduled, they came on a day we specifically had said we weren't going to be home. When we have tried to call Russ about the issues with the water, as this is a new discovery, and again we have pinhole leaks in our system, even worse than not answering is the 2.5 rings until he declines our call.

They put the extra effort into making it all look neat and professional when finished in the mechanical room. Very appreciative and would highly recommend.
