If you're an avid TK Maxx-er like me, then watch out for the early closing times - they shut at 7pm on most nights which is a bit earlier than most of the other branches.

They sell a load of clothes in there and are arranged in the store depending on type (such as Mens Trousers, Plus Size, Womens Tops etc) The clothes are also in size order. Most of the clothes are low on duplicates too so if you find something then it may be the only one in Huddersfield wearing something like it. I do find some of the clothes there are the types that people in 'Walmart' wear (I'm English, but just google 'Walmart photos' and you'll understand what I mean lol.) Everything in there is of knock off prices perhaps ex-catalogue or a stich missing or something? I've no idea, but the prices are ok. They also sell designer stuff there too :) TK Maxx also sell shoes and even the womens shoes go up to sizes I didn't think was possible lol. There are handbags, luggage, underwear, dresses, cushions, packaged foods, books, kitchen equipment, crockery, toys, etc etc etc it has loads. The other day when I went I bought some hot sauce, it's called 'Pain 85%' and OMG is certainly is! I just dabbed my finger on it and tried it and it burnt my mouth away, my husband was unable to talk for a while as he had half a teaspoon! lol. It tastes horrible too, I guess it wouldn't be so bad if it tasted a bit better.....no, no it would still be bad. And to think they do a Pain 100%

Their homewares department wasn't brilliant with quite a limited selection and I had to queue for quite a while last time but if you're an avid bargain hunter you won't be put off by that! Watch out for the new returns policy which only gices you 14 days and says you MUST have a receipt. Also beware you'll have to pay up to 6p for a carrier bag, even if you've spent hundreds!

Sunday Best is the perfect place to find a fantastic outfit for that special occaision, wedding, night out, or if you just want to gorgeous clothes. The shop has a good range of clothes but theres not too much squeezed in to the shop. The staff are lovely polite and helpful. There is limited street parking in front of the shop and there are several disc parking areas a few minutes walk away.

The Halifax store is only a tiny little shop but they always have a lot of stuff in so it's often quite cramped in there and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with a pram as you might find it a bit of a struggle! The one thing that I find really lets it down are the staff, I don't think gossiping amongst themselves while serving customers on the till is a very professional attitude to have when working in the retail industry, in fact I find it pretty rude. This isn't just a one off observation it happens every single time i'm in there.

The staff was incredibly helpful, especially a blond gentleman who went above and beyond to assist me. He listened to what I needed and quickly suggested options that fit both my style and the occasion. His professionalism and friendly attitude made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable.
