This is not your typical hotel restaurant. Steaks are good, service top notch and they make great cocktails too.

This hideaway restaurant inside of the holiday inn is quiet and nice. Decent food for decent prices. There are vegetarian options, but not many gluten free substitutions. The reason for the low rating is the service. I saw 4 members of the staff do other minor things instead of greet our party to let us know it was going to be a quick second before seating. After waiting 5 minutes, I had to walk up to 2 servers who were gossiping just get a seat a perfectly clean table for my party of 3. Once seated the waiting continued...I think the young staff may have been overwhelmed with the Sunday brunch atmosphere because when you looked around the dining area all the guests had similar looks towards the staff. read more

We definitely enjoyed our time eating at TK Grille! There is an abundance of food options, and everything on the menu is worth trying. Most importantly, the amazing food quality and the top-notch service is the best in Effingham! Everyone working at the restaurant inside the hotel are super friendly! I have stayed at holiday inn attached to this restaurant and the breakfast was amazing this time. I look forward to traveling back to Florida home as during return trips I stop here. If you order the skillet be prepared to take leftovers, but so damn good. read more

Bad! The sign fo prime rib is still up, but e were told an hour ago that they were out of prime rib. Out of baked potato too. We were told we would like the ribeye. Nope no taste! Both were ordered medium rare. One was medium rare. Mine well done. This place is no good!!! read more

It might have been the night as the place was busy. The front desk convinced us the food was good we had driven 12 hours and decided to eat there. Waitress Tia was good, hats off. A couple of things were out on the menu but we were not ordering them. I ordered the Green Dragon. It was just OK and not worth the price. At the price$18. I would have expected fresher vegetables not frozen oriental vegetable's. The meal was a prepackage. My wife ordered Shrimp Tacos. They were cold and the "grilled shrimp " were refrigerator cold. She reordered a burger which was good. Of course this meant we did not eat together. They gave us what I thought was a small discount. The equivalent of a rail drink. Two plusses. Went in because of the Restaurant.com deals. Ordered the steak and it was fantastic! Seasoned and cooked perfectly. The sides couldn't have been better. The wife's meal was as good as mine. The service was prompt and courteous. We came in on a fluke, but we will definitely be back. It's not the "same ol" dining experience, it's so much better! Go, you won't regret it! read more

We accidentally booked the wrong Holiday Inn but still needed to eat after traveling so after we checked in we drove to this one, Steven was so amazing, the food, and the experience, we gave up our room at the other Holiday Inn and stayed at this one. It is worth noting that this establishment is inside the Holiday Inn, as such, I found it a bit pricey and boring, which I suppose is typical for such places. The dining area (as the entire lobby) was very clean, bright and open. They have since updated the bar and dinning area since our fellow Yelper, Ryan H., stopped in an took a few pics back in 2013. The service was quick, nice, but not overly tentative. I had to ask for my drink to be filled and considering only two other tables had customers, I shouldn't have to ask for a refill. The menu was very limited, and I though the prices were a bit steep. But okay, somewhat expected considering it's inside a Holiday Inn. I was starting to think that I was going to just order off the appetizer section, but then the steak sandwich caught my eye and I ordered that along with baked red potatoes (see picture). I didn't have to wait too long for my meal to come out and it presented well. The potatoes were good as the mix of oil and herbs was just right. The roll for the steak sandwich was good. The steak itself was a bit overdone, and it did not have too much of a taste to it, other than the special sauce they had on it. This is the main reason I stay at the Holiday Inn whenever I'm in the area. The restaurant serves high-end food and a relatively good price. I usually get their citrus salmon for dinner. The bar can seat about 10 patrons and the staff is always on point. They have a happy hour from 4-6pm daily with domestic beer bottles for $2/each. There is one TV at the bar and four TVs on the other side of the lobby for working/large groups. There is also a nice outdoor seating area for the warmer months. read more

The small cafe has adequate amount of tables and space. The staff are friendly and attentive. Good selection of draft beers that taste fresh. Food coming out of kitchen looks appealing. I tried the salmon BLT. The farm-raised fish wasn't strong tasting and not dried out. The problem with the moist fish is that it made the bun soggy and fall apart about half way thru it. Worst dining experience of my life. Horrible service, cold food, rude staff. I went with a friends family for one of her son's 30th birthday celebration. We arrived and sat on the patio. We were greeted by a "manager" who told us that she was sorry but they are understaffed and she was gonna "f-ing" Kill the girl who called in. In front of 3 children under the age of 12. Other examples of this atrocious establishment were appetizers (shrimp cocktail) arriving after salads, cold entrees, being told they had no glasses for certain drinks, being told "I know what your f-ing asking for and we don't have any spoons" yes, that's right a place with no spoons. I wish I was done there, but we were flipped off by the "manager" as we left and then told by the General manager that we "provoked her" and then we were asked to leave. I mentioned my review that I would be sure to leave and he said "he didn't care" and that he'd just delete it. Horrible. Please beware, go to ANY of the other fine places in Effingham! read more
