A member of my family had been going to Surf City Pediatrics, located in HB, for months when my wife and I were hit with a $2,000+ bill and told our insurance, Cigna, was no longer valid or accepted. Fast forward 1+ year later ... Took me all of 45 minutes to find out that they submitted the wrong provider ID to the insurance Company. Rodney the owner has refused to call me back. Tracy, my billing "manager", hung up on me twice, refuse to help me and overall just won't take any responsibility for their error. On top of that they are not helpful and will not work my insurance provider to resolve this issue. Cigna has agreed to pay, in full, the medical bills directly related to this issue. All they needed to do was resubmit the bills and file a new claim. It's amazing that they can't even do that. Absolutely, the worst company to deal with. I'm surprised that a reliable and reputable Doctor's office like Surf City Pediatrics and Dr. Paul Pepek would choose OC Medical Billing for their medical billing needs.
