Long review detailing my experience below, but in summary: I have nice looking nails, it wasn't exactly what I wanted, polish was spilled on my pants & shoe, and I was still charged full price. So I ended up with about a $150 bill for my pants and shoes, and another $50 for the nails. This was my first time trying TJ Nails, and I have mixed feelings because I always want to give people the benefit of the doubt. I usually get gel polish, but have been wanting to try dip to see if I like how it grows out better (i.e. no peeling). I don't even know the lady's name who did my nails, but she was nice enough. On the quiet side, but that doesn't bother me. I showed her the color I wanted and said I wanted that with glitter over a couple of them. As she was doing my nails she ended up dipping one in the the glitter first and I said I wanted the color underneath first, but she said "it's too late." I can see where the miscommunication happened, and next time I will reiterate what I want. My bigger annoyance was that she wasn't willing to fix ONE nail. Yes, I'm sure even one nail is a pain to soak off one coat, but I was truly surprised she wasn't the least bit willing to do it to do what I wanted. All that said, it still turned out looking pretty nice, just not exactly what I wanted. The other thing that happed was that she dropped the activator polish (mistakes happen!), and it splattered on my shoe and pant leg. She did try to clean it off, and I will as well, but I think I was most taken aback that I was still charged full price. I get that mistakes happen, and obviously she didn't spill the polish on purpose, but I also don't know how I would ever charge someone full price after I could clearly tell a customer wasn't fully happy with their nails, and had also ruined their pants, and not-cheap shoes. read more

I went in and I asked for a full set of nails when sitting down they offered me a manicure and I told them no I don't want a manicure I'm on a Budget and they are lucky to be getting my business. All of a sudden they started laughing and speaking in Vietnamese and I said what did I do and finally one of them said oh nothing. First of all I think it is so rude to speak Vietnamese in front of people that don't understand it next time I go in there I'm going to get a Vietnamese translator and see what they're all chuckling about I'll never go back. And the guy that did my nails I couldn't figure out what the heck he was doing here he had those earbuds in and he was on a phone conversation very unprofessional and no they didn't get one cent of a tip. read more

The Best Nail Place around! I had been going to them for sometime and stopped because of illness. I was able to start going back and it was like returning to family! Everyone is so kind!! TJ Nails is quickly becoming my go-to for a manicure and pedicure. I've tried other area salons and either my manicure never lasted or I felt like the salon wasn't personable enough. I ask for Ryan who owns TJs and he's wonderful. Every manicure is flawless. He's personable (so is Vic) and it's a reasonably priced and friendly establishment. I'd suggest it to anyone! read more

I used to be a regular a few years ago, but then moved away and never came back. Once I came for a visit I remembered how good they were. I went in for a walk-In on a Wednesday at around 3:00 and their service was great. All of their materials were cleaned too which is always a plus. The one thing I have to say wasn't the best, was the nail artist that did my nails wasn't completely fluent in English. He did ask me if I wanted glitter on an accent nail before I said anything about it. Obviously what girl doesn't want glitter!! I would definitely recommend this place! read more

After calling every highly rated nail salon in the Hartville area and having no luck with an appointment, I managed to get one at 6pm with TJ. Can we say I saved the best for last??? In an hour and a half, I got a great pedicure and gel manicure. My nails are filed evenly, painted smoothly from edge to edge and I got a leg and hand massage! Too many bad visits. The owner (Andy) was rude to other customers in my prior visits. Then my last visit he was VERY rude and unprofessional to me. He was mad because I had just had a fill the night before and 2 nails had already broken. I left without even getting them polished. By the time I got to my car, I was in tears. There is no excuse for a business owner to treat paying customer like that. I won't EVER return. DON'T GO HERE!!! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! read more
