When I met with Joey on Zoom, he was extremely professional, personable, and already had an agenda for things to talk about. I thought we were just going to talk about him DJing music, but then he brought up extremely important questions about how the flow of the reception was going to go, how people were going to be announced from the wedding party, what vibe I wanted at what times etc... Even getting into the minute details of the importance on how to pronounce a name and what the correct title of that person was etc. Joey took the time to understand my wedding party and family dynamics, along with the vision I had for how I wanted the reception to be like. At the end of our conversation, I realized there were many small details that I had not considered before that were essential for my wedding to be successful without last minute panic moments. DAY SAVER. Let me tell ya! My wedding was beyond "over-the-top" and I am so so so SO grateful to have had Joey as our DJ and MC for the night. He has a very family-oriented vibe to him and a wizard level of skill with truly feeling out the mood of the room and DJ'ing accordingly to it. He is a wonderful person, as well. He was so professional and, for me, more importantly, he was so responsive and so flexible to the ever-changing and improvised nature of my wedding! We were changing plans throughout the night, delaying key moments (the bouquet toss, the speeches, etc) or adding new events (flash-mob) and he was able to respond quickly to the chaos and didn't once get annoyed. Tim and his assistant Don did everything possible to make sure everything ran as smoothly as possible - acting as liaisons between us and the building manager, wait-staff and our bridal party. THEY WERE AWESOME. He also did a good job with the music making sure that the old people had there moment and the young people did as well. Even though I told him he could go home at 11:30 PM, he stayed until midnight because guests wanted to keep dancing - that's how great they were. Also, he was sooooooo nice and seemed genuinely excited for my husband and me, celebrating with us throughout the night. Tim is more than a DJ - he's an all-around manager and a key right-hand person on your wedding day. I recommend him 100%! Our experience with Tom and MI Event DJs unfortunately wasn't what we had hoped for. During the…read moreceremony, he played the wrong song for the groomsmen during the processional and then left a huge gap as my matron of honor walked down the aisle. It was completely silent and awkward as I stood inside waiting to walk out. According to my wedding coordinator, there were also issues with transitions between events. He told both her and the venue coordinator that he had made announcements when he hadn't, and only did so after they brought it to his attention. During our reception, he was supposed to help pass the microphone around during speeches, but my coordinator had to step in instead. There was even an awkward moment when my dad was left holding the microphone, unsure of what to do. If this wasn't a service he typically provided, it would have been helpful to communicate that beforehand so we could make other arrangements. He came across as stand-offish and resistant to direction, even when it was needed. Our photographers and videographers also had to ask his wife to move out of the frame before my grand entrance. She was supposed to help run the Photo Booth, but it went unattended for at least the latter half of the night. Our wedding ended at 9:30 p.m., earlier than expected, with very little dancing. I will be honest and acknowledge that my husband and I didn't provide a formal "do not play" list. However, we made it clear that we wanted him to read the room and adjust the music accordingly, which he had assured us he was very good at doing. My friends and family also shared concerns about the music and how requests were handled. Guests felt he seemed bothered when they requested songs, and the music sometimes jumped between completely different genres, such as going from rap to Michael Bublé, whom I had specifically requested for cocktail hour. As far as my personal interactions with Tom, he seemed fine, but communication before the wedding could have been better. I had to initiate our planning meeting, and during that meeting, he seemed distracted. He also mentioned that he doesn't review planning lists until the week of the wedding because they can get confusing when managing multiple weddings. While I understand juggling multiple events, I had hoped he would be more intentional and engaged during the time we set aside to discuss such an important day. My other vendors were attentive and genuinely shared in the excitement, so this experience felt noticeably different. The planning portal was also outdated, although I appreciated being able to share Apple Music playlists via email. Ultimately, the pricing was fair for what was included. We paid approximately $1,500 for ceremony and reception DJ services, cold sparks, and a Photo Booth with digital photos. I want to be fair and acknowledge that the package offered a lot for the price, and my direct interactions with Tom weren't necessarily negative. However, the execution on the wedding day left us disappointed, particularly with the ceremony music, reception flow, and overall dance-floor experience. My advice to future couples would be to communicate expectations clearly, confirm ceremony cues and announcements, clarify responsibilities during speeches, and discuss how music requests and Photo Booth coverage will be handled. I wish our experience had been different, but I believe it's important to share an honest account for other couples planning their wedding.

She made sure all my decorations were set, delivered my flowers, helped bustle my dress, coordinate my guests arrival, made sure the dj and venue were on time and doing their jobs, and so much more. Nicky became my best friend during the planning process. I was able to text, email, Facebook, and call her anytime if the day and she would respond as soon as she could. She truly made my day perfect. I don't know what I would have done without her! Her husband even came to help her set everything up and clean up when done. My venue lost my sharpies for my guest book and her husband went to the store to buy me more sharpies without me even knowing. She handled any bump in the road without bothering me or stressing me out. I can't thank Nicky enough for the amazing work she did on my wedding. Not to mention her prices were amazing!

Upon meeting Rob (owner), we were very excited about the lighting, DJ and photobooth we were going to receive from them. They showed us pictures and examples of their lighting and photobooth and they were the one vendor we felt so confident in. What we were promised was not what we got - esp. the lighting and photobooth. NEGATIVES: Lighting: HUGE NEGATIVE 1.) Our reception started a whole hour late because they were not set up (only 2 people running the photobooth, dj, and lighting) and had to start even without lighting, which did not get fixed at all and so lighting for the entire reception was nonexistent. 2.) We were promised a name monogram on the dance floor, which just happened to break that day, so, no name monogram (over $100+). 3.) We were promised a "white wash" on the dance floor for our first dance & cake cutting and the only thing that consisted of was a panel about 8"x10" that had LED lights that was sitting on the floor aimed at our feet. The dance floor was pitch black so our venue tried to turn on some house lights and our photographers had to go grab their extra light to shine on us so they could get some pictures of our first dance. 4.) We were promised pin spots on each table to light up each centerpiece - only a few tables had pin spots and the excuse that we were given was that the overhead lighting interfered with how the pin spots look but we had to turn on overhead lights b/c their lighting was nonexistent. 5.) We were promised uplighting around the dance floor and did not get this as well - only 1 pillar was lit up. Photobooth: The photobooth was poorly constructed and looked dated as the curtain rods kept falling down and the seating was unstable - the excuse we were given was that people get rowdy in the booth so thats why the photobooth was like that. When we met with them, we were shown a completely different photobooth and assured that all the photobooths were "upgraded." We were promised an attendant for about 80% of the time as the person would go back and forth from DJ to photobooth. There was hardly anyone there so my sister in law was pretty much trying to organize and make the scrapbook album. Only about 5 pages were actually put together. Our images were poorly printed: the quality was okay; however, due to "printer problems," it cut off the bottom of our footer on ALL prints. After the wedding, they agreed to reprint all of the images and mailed those to us (2 months after the fact); unfortunately, all of our guests went home with the cut off images. We were given a flash drive of images though, so that was helpful. POSITIVES: DJ: This was the one positive aspect of this company. Sam was great to work with; We met with him in person and he gave us a short example of how he DJs. We talked with him in length about the type of music we did and DID NOT want, and he met our expectations on that. He responded to emails quickly and had phone conversations with me to make sure he had the pronunciations down and the correct music. Our ceremony music went flawlessly and for the reception, we had a younger group of people at our wedding so we wanted the music to stay in the top 40/hip hop and Sam did a good job with that and did take some requests as well. We were satisfied with the DJ component of the services provided. HOWEVER, we were promised a "glam cam," which we were not given as well. AFTER THE WEDDING: We called Rob (owner) to discuss our frustrations and disappointment with services provided and he claimed that nothing had gone wrong in the wedding and that all of my claims were unfounded. This infuriated me even more as he went on to say that they had done nothing wrong and everything had followed the timeline we had agreed on. I sent him pictures with time stamps of our late entrance due to their inability to set up on time for our reception, poor lighting that did not light up the dance floor as he had stated they would, lighting that did not "pin spot" tables, lighting that failed to work, lighting that did not exist as we had agreed upon in our contract (i.e. pinspots, 20 LEDS, etc), and lack of attendant at the photobooth. Finally, my husband had to take over handling this situation as I was unable to deal with him any longer. Long story short, after many ridiculous phone conversations and emails, we were able to recoup only 1/3 of what we paid for services. OVERALL: Save yourself the headache and DO NOT use this company. They do not provide what they promise you and are not customer friendly when you are not satisfied with services (even with proof!). It was not worth it to spend the next 3 weeks after our wedding (when you should be on your honeymoon and enjoying your time as newlyweds!) trying to get some money back from them and then waiting an additional 2 months to get reprints.
