To start with the fitting process - they wanted to put me back in the same brand shoe that I told…read morethem did not have enough arch support - also suggested an insert. I wanted shoes that fit- not made to fit with an insert. After several shoes that didn't give me the support I needed I had to make the suggestion of going to another brand of shoe. I purchased the shoes but after I got home I decided I really didn't like the color - which color choice was limited to 2 colors at the time of purchase. When returning the shoe I was told there is a 15.00$ restocking fee. This is ridiculous because they will literally just walk to the back room and put them on a shelf. When I asked them to waive this fee I was told the manager wasn't there and it couldn't be done. I was not told about this fee when I purchased the shoes - when I pointed that out I was directed to a small print poster located under the lip of the counter. The only way someone could even see this was to stand 5 feet away. Who stands 5 feet away from the counter when making a purchase? No one that I know. I was then told this fee is in place to protect the store in case someone would find the same shoe at a better price. Well, isn't that how commerce works? Maybe Robert's should be more competitive in their prices. Oh and also was offered a store credit but that was useless as I will never go there again.
