Fish Taco with three pieces of Fish. Very good. See the penny on the side of the plate for reference.

I ordered the Fish Taco, Camarones Enchilado (spicy shrimp) taco, the large Shrimp Cocktail, and the Carne asada fries. Fish Taco was great! Three pieces of battered fish. The batter was good and crispy. One is more than enough if you not very hungry. Much bigger and cheaper than the US version. I will say I prefer regular avocado than the avocado sauce. Even my 2 yr old ate a plain fish taco, well, the fish anyways. The Enchilado was good. The tortilla was hard fried on a flat grill and was regular spicy. Mild for me but it had a good flavor. Good portion size. I believe that Mazateno's has a better version but it was still good and had appropriate size and quantity of shrimp. My wife had the Shrimp Cocktail. I had a bite. Shrimp tasted good. Size was great. Wife said she liked it more than Mazateno's version. See the photos for reference of the Cocktail. The Fries were fine but the Carne asada was a bit to salty, fatty, and spiced up. Not spicy. The cheese was good. The lettuce should be replaced for tomatoes and cilantro in my opinion. The avocado sauce and cream were fine. I will pass on this in the future. Overall I was happy with the visit. The food was worth it. I will be back to try other things. 2 fish tacos 1 Camarones Enchilado 1 large Shrimp Cocktail 1 Carne Asada Fries 2 Diet Cokes =386 pesos about 22 dollars. My bill was 22 bucks

This place is sooooo good! Whenever I come to TJ, I have to stop here at least once for a fish taco. There fries are really good to.

Stopped by for a quick lunch while in the area…read more PROS: Large authentic Mexican restaurant located in a strip mall. The complimentary carrots and chips-n-salsa were a nice touch. We enjoyed a chicken taco à la carte and a chicken taco plate. Plenty of free parking. CONS: No substitute for refried beans. Restaurant had a strong smell of cleaning agents. Fish tacos were only offered fried, not grilled. Helpful?

Great spot for authentic Mexican food either when you're going to the border or coming back! I've…read morebeen going for years and it's a favorite for our whole team! I went today with my husband and: FOOD 5/5 Chips and Salsa- their salsa always hits the spot and the chips are fresh and crunchy. Their vinegar soaked carrots are my favorite and I devour them quick. 5/5 - Ensalada de Avocado. I get it without chicken, tomatoes or onions and they LOAD up the avocado. It's such a comfort food for me that's usually my go/to. The tortilla is deep fried and tastes fresh. 5/5- CARNITAS- my husband thought it was great and full of flavor. His tortillas were fresh too. SERVICE 5/5- both female servers were helpful and attentive especially because we got some chicken soup to-go for our employee and they had it ready quick. I loved that they were dressed up as well for Halloween and went all out in their costumes. CLEANLINESS/ AMBIANCE 5/5 - This place always feels welcoming and clean. The tables are bussed quickly, you don't see food on the floor. SEATING inside had plenty of seating. Lots of booths, tables and even larger tables for groups. We saw a group of 9 people walk right in. They have a cute outside patio area that has PARKING plenty of parking since they share a lot with the other units.
