Since my last review I have gone to…read morea couple drag shows here and just last night we went with fairly short notice for a tribute presentation and show to film director David Lynch. David Lynch the Pacific Northwest... especially Washington State has a real attachment to David Lynch mainly because of the TV show Twin Peaks. This show wasn't to just honor his work with that show but for all of his films like Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet, Eraserhead and more. There was a jazz band that started out followed by dancer, a atmospheric electro music performer and more each with their own musical styles. The presentation concluded with a singer who sang Julee Cruise's "Falling" the song that is the intro song to Twin Peaks (although it's instrumental). They had mixed drinks named Agent Cooper and you could even get a slice of cherry pie with damned good coffee!

The interactions are limited to certain parts of the show and the way you interact with the projections is just by waving your hand over the wall -- no need to touch the wall. The venue is a very large open room. The back wall is covered with mirrors, the side walls are very long, the front wall is the main screen. The center of the room has large square blocks for seating. The main screen has more interaction for kids. Showing is about 45 minutes long and the room is dark but the lit up walls have enough lighting so you can see where you are going. Overall a neat experience but I was expecting more plant life and less of what seems to be an "acid trip", for lack of a better description, showing. It reminded me of the random colors/lights that Windows Media Player generated while playing music (shout out to you 90s kids). The interactions were enjoyable but in my honest opinion, may be better suited for kids and less technologically aware individuals. A nice one time experience but I wouldn't bother doing it again even if it was a different showing.

We also recently hosted a large event in their ballroom and I want to complement Ann Bickerton and the banquet staff for their stellar work. The event was perfect. Ann helped with menu choices and her recommendations were excellent. The food was tasty and well prepared. (no dry chicken - the chicken dish was moist and well seasoned!) The staff were exactly where they needed to be at all times and everyone attending had a wonderful time. Aside from the staff, the venue is absolutely incredible. The view is a million dollar view that you would never expect from a venue as affordable as this one. I would have paid double the price just for the view, honestly. I heard so many guests go on and on about how beautiful it was and it just made me so happy! The inside of the building is very unique as well, and it was a great space for the size we had and the setup we had planned. They have two conference rooms that can be used as get ready rooms, a full kitchen and plenty of parking.
