They are located in the center of Newtonville on the main drag. It's on the pricey side but the trimmed my eyebrows, shaved my neck and cut off the hair which grows on the top of my ears. They have a mural on the wall displaying the sports hero in the city. Next time I need a haircut, I will return. read more

Great service. Easy online booking. Not sure how to rate a barber shop. They're awesome though. Definitely make it easy to find a time online and even pay in advance including tip. I love that feature. read more

My son was receiving an award so he wanted a nice haircut, he had a guy named Danny as his barber. The guy was incredibly rude and dismissive when describing how he was hoping to have his hair look. Then proceeded to give him one of the worst haircuts I've ever seen. You could tell he didn't know what he was doing. First of all $50 for a barber shop haircut is insane. Waltham 10 mins away is LOADED with barber shops that give incredible fades, trim your eyebrows, ears hair, nose hair, and shave your neck for $20-$30. Why anyone would pay $50 (before a tip) for a mediocre haircut is beyond me, but if that's what you're looking for then go see Danny at Title City in Newtonville. read more

Dany is hands down the best barber I've ever had. Meticulous, precise, and someone who genuinely cares about his craft. I've been going to him for 6 years and he's the first barber in my life I've actually been loyal to. The level of professionalism and attention to detail every single visit is something I haven't found anywhere else. He's worked with me through multiple style changes over the years, did all of my groomsmen before my wedding, and I've referred multiple friends who commute 30+ minutes just to keep seeing him. His instagram and portfolio speak for themselves, but I can say without any hesitation the guy is worth every penny. read more

I would of gave 5 stars if they returned my phone call and responded to my email...it's called good business etiquette.....

Complete and utter disappointment! I needed a specific style cut for my photoshoot. I showed the guy a picture of what I needed, frontal and side view. I asked him to confirm if he can do it., He glanced at the pictures and said yes. It was supposed to be a medium length trim, because my head shape is not perfect. 20 minutes later I got a military style SHORT cut with a little bush at the top. I can do such cut myself for free looking at the mirror and with my clippers. I look absolutely ridiculous and have now to cancel the photo shoot until the hair grows back which may take a month. I paid $50 plus $10 tips for this because the guy honestly did some work, had pleasant mannerisms and was courteous and friendly. But never ever will I be trusting my haircut to them. I am furious and absolutely devastated. read more

Erick was excellent. I'm bald and shave my head but have a beard and hadn't been to a barber shop in years. Felt great to be back in the chair, good convo, and great service. Highly recommend. read more

We have been going to Lucy for my son's hair for over a year now because she has always done a great job with his cut. Today, my son was not feeling well and she picked up on it right away and helped him to feel better (he is a newly diagnosed diabetic and needed sugar) and she sent her colleague to get some juice, waited for him to feel better, said encouraging words to both of us. She was so kind, patient, and helpful during a tough moment. It's additionally appreciated as I know she works on the clock and we probably ran right through her lunch break. We're so grateful to Lucy- my son said: she's really kind. and she is. she also gives a great haircut. read more

Went in for beard trim. First time. Ramos was super detailed oriented and focused. Appreciated how hard he worked to trim the bush on my face. read more

This place has really gone downhill. They still have a couple decent barbers but there has been a lot of turnover in the staff and the quality is mixed. For the price they charge you'd expect they only hire the most experienced barbers. read more

Seems like the secret may be out, but LG gives an amazing cut. Super nice guy , personable and listens to exactly what kind of cut you want. He is extremely talented and always responses positively to my 7 year old son's imaginative requests. Any time I have come it has been clean and organized. Great place and LG is truly the best. read more

Didn't even give me the haircut i wanted horrible place don't want to go there again. Also made me look like s##t

Excellent service! I took my 13 yo son to get a hair cut from Max P. He had grown his hair out down to past his shoulder blades and was wanting a shorter haircut. He was scared to cut it off, but wanted to, and also unsure of what type of cut to get. Max was patient and helpful. My son ended up with a handsome cut, VERY pleased! Max took great care of us and we will definitely be heading back in the future! read more

A terrible and expensive haircut. I thought I'd try this place because it's very convenient, just a block from my house. They gave me to a barber who spoke almost no English. I described what I wanted: leave the sides long! This was important to me and I'd had other barbers do huge cutting and clipping. I was as clear as I could be for him not to cut there. Well, he snipped away, did not feather the back, the entire job looked lousy. I didn't realize this until I got home and my wife saw it. She was right. I could have gotten a decent haircut from the stylist I had been seeing (she's farther away), for a lot less money. read more

LG gave an amazing shave and haircut. his attention to detail was second to none. definitely coming back !!

Excellent cut from Max P at the Newton location. Clean, efficient, thorough. Highly recommend!

Always a great cut! Always great service! These professionals run very efficient. You walk in for your appointment and your barber is greeting you and getting you in the chair. Not having you wait. read more

Came in last minute for a line up. No wait and my haircut is really good. Place is very clean and customer service is very professional. My line up was on the expensive side, $40 but will be back again. Its worth it. read more

Sway (Josue) has been cutting my hair for the last two years. He's always given me an amazing haircut and takes time to ask me if I'd like any changes in length or styling - I rarely do! Knowing that he has kids I decided to bring my boys in. He was instantly a hit with my boys (3 and 6). It's so easy and convenient with parking behind the shop and super close to home. No more dragging the kids for haircuts to the kids place in Needham anymore. read more

just had a great cut from LG. The vibe of the shop was great. This was my first visit to this shop. Had a good conversation with LG about life's ups and downs. Overall an enjoyable experience. Will be back. read more

Saw Bianca at the Newton shop, and I was very impressed. I was nervous about trying out a new spot, but I walked out satisfied and confident that I've found a new barber. She has a warm and engaging manner, and she is definitely a skilled stylist. I am very difficult to please when it comes to my hair and especially my beard, but she exceeded my expectations. read more

Ask for LG. He delivers the best cut Ive ever gotten. He's also a great conversationalist.

Max P at the Newton location is awesome! I have had nothing but amazing (and consistent!) experience with the location.

We come in every November to see family, and one of our traditions is that my son and his grandpa come to Title City to get a haircut. LG gives the best haircut!! read more

I went to the walnut street Newton location and got my haircut by LG. He was funny and had a great flow to his work. If you are looking for a fade or really any type of cut he's the person to go to. And he was also very meticulous with the haircut which I appreciated. Overall a great experience and haircut read more

I am disappointed with yesterday's appointment I booked with my 2 boys. When City Title opened in Brookline, I took my son there for his first buzz with the owner Josh. Josh did a great job on my son's haircut! I spread the word to the Brookline Moms when their business opened up. Ever since then I have taken my older son and my younger one there. Yesterday, my youngest son needed his first haircut but since we were heading outside of Boston, the Newton location was more convenient for us. I booked an appointment with Lucy. The experience did not go well only because my son was screaming and crying. It was his first time. I get it. I appreciated Lucy continuing on to cut his hair (no trim). I assisted her with it by holding his head so he couldn't move. After the haircut was done, Dany the barber came up to me to tell me we do not accept kids that cry and move around. I did not argue back with him other than apologizing for the inconvenience. Dany was annoyed and whispering to his client during the time my son was getting his haircut. Lucy did a great job with my son's first haircut! I love it! After Dany said what he said, I will no longer take my 3 boys to City Title. I should have just stayed with the Brookline one. I went to City Title because they take kids under 12. If they don't take kids under Dany's conditions than it should be stated on the website and displayed at the shop. Again, Lucy did a great job! I appreciate her not giving up. Her and I worked together. This morning, I received great compliments on my son's haircut. I wish I could go back but no way will I see Dany again (I'm sure Dany feels the same as well). Also, I gave Lucy more than 20% of tip. read more

These young fellows are learning to cut hair. They might be good doing fashionable cuts but fall way short if you are looking for a classical formal cut to go to a job interview for instance. read more

I got a cut from Dany at the Newton location today. It was my first time getting a cut with him and it is honestly one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten. It was obvious he cared about his craft, he was easy to talk to, and he took his time to make sure he gave me the best cut. I highly recommend booking him for a cut, I sure will be for all my haircuts in the future! read more

I take my sons here for their haircuts and the service is fantastic. The barbers actually listen to what they want! We have tried many places where they always got the same haircut no matter how much we explained what they wanted. The place is very clean, the barber had a mask and gloves and I felt absolutely comfortable letting my son get his hair cut there. read more

I was looking for a place to take my son for a stylish cut. Several folks in my local parent group on FB recommended Title City Barbers.
