David has been handling my investments for 4 years. I came to him after attending a free session…read moreon "Taxes in Retirement". I found him to be very knowledgeable, helpful, and others had highly recommended him. He completely changed my high-risk investments, to mostly Annuities. I use a financial advisor because I don't have the expertise they do. While I did transfer my funds at a good time, since the market dropped significantly afterwards, I did lose money during the transfer which I was not informed of in advance. I have to take blame for not asking more questions of my previous advisor and David. All in all, I feel my money has been secure with David, and he warned I would not see large gains and losses. However, it is a disappointment to know there are significant penalties with moving money early from annuities. The personnel in David's office are very friendly and helpful. I recommend David and his staff as financial advisors. I feel they have done a good job for me. I also recommend becoming educated to know the questions to ask, by interviewing multiple advisors before making a final decision. Because once you are invested it is very timely and costly to make changes.

You don't feel like "just another client" or "number" they get to know you and you get to know them adding that trusted relationship you don't get with most banks/advisors. In fact, they didn't start with the idea that they would "tell" us how to invest our money, but rather had the conversation of what do we want to see, discussed how they would make our money work for us in more detail, and they even put into action an investment of our request. We can't say enough how well they have managed our money creating yearly buckets, helping us reach our retirement goals and fun goals! We can call or reach out to them anytime with questions and we are comforted that they understand our goals and market timing to keep us stress free financially. Tom met with us, answered our many questions, and has been a great resource in filing and preparing our taxes. We started the process late (early April) and Tom reviewed our documents while we were there, assured us that we wouldn't have any major tax penalties, then filed an extension to take the pressure off. It took a little bit of time for his team to prepare our taxes since we were so late in the game, but they finished the work, got everything filed, and helped us get a nice refund. We just finished a planning meeting for next year today. We left feeling confident of our path for next year and are looking forward to working with Tom and his lovely team for many years to come!
