I am absolutely beside myself with WaterTex Pools…read more My primary pump failed due to the rear pump plate bursting. I called my home warranty company and they assigned WaterTex. I had experience with them once before and I was quite satisfied. Unfortunately, they was a one off experience. The tech who came out said that the pump failed due to freeze damage and that there is no way a pool goes from clear to pea soup in a few days. I had just been called a liar to my face. The pool has never frozen as long as I have lived here which is 12 yrs. It definitely has not been inactive this season since I sent proof. I have documented proof from the home warranty company that the pool was serviced by one of their contractors on May 4, 2022. I sent pictures of the pool from April, May and June showing that pool in perfect condition. None of that swayed their stead fast opinion that 'in their 22 years of experience, they have never seen a plate fail like that other than due to freeze damage'. The pool was built in 1984 as I recall l being told by the original owner. No idea how old the pump is. Plastic fatigues as it gets older, especially plastic that is exposed to the elements. It has gone through decades of expansion and contraction due to heat and cold. But no, according these "experts", it must have been freeze damage. They do not know when. They just know it must have at some point. I cannot prove a negative. I live here. I know for a fact that for the 12 years I have lived here the pool has never frozen. The freeze guard has always worked flawlessly. I know during the hard freeze of 2021, I manually turned the pool on just to make sure it never stopped circulating. We have never had a power failure. I have pictures that show the pool functioning this year. I cannot prove something did not happen. Yet they can get away with saying something did happen and not have to prove it. I am now in the process of waiting for a second opinion. Bottom line, don't use WaterTex.

The installation team was fantastic, and the training class after fill up was a great added service. We learned so much from the installation team.
