Bad bad place. Hassled my daughter and her fiancé...gay couple...making very inappropriate comments at their visit at a location in St. Paul a few years ago. They went there at our recommendation. This weekend the Hastings location screwed up my husband's order. Mechanic laughed at my husband as he had to change the tire that went flat on his way to get his new tires. Never called to tell him the tires hadn't arrived. Never ever going back. read more

I would give it a 0/5 but can'. BEWARE! They will screw you over with misleading prices, rebates and misinformation. When one of their workers would miscommunicate with you and you speak to the boss and they affirm it was a miscommunication. They're prices on the website is different than corporate, but they don't tell you that until after the fact. They showed me what the price was going to be for 4 new tires and in order for me to get the rebate I needed to contact the rewards and submit a claim. I called and they said it's an instant rebate so it should've been taken off right away and to contact the shop. Spoke with the boss and he said the rebate was applied. I told him that's not what I was told by his employee and had I known their prices were $25 more per a tire, $100 extra, I would've gone to another Tires Plus. So instead of coming with a solution or provide a service they would cover, like an oil change, to compensate for their mistake but really what they're really saying is it's your fault & not theirs. In the bosses words "it is what it is". They even tried to tell me I needed other "services" that they can repair but there isn't anything else that my vehicle needed. When on the phone they said they had other concerns to deal with rather than solving mine. I did have a few people tell me they've had issues with the place too. Had two new tires put on the car. And had the lug nuts replaced. come to find out when they put on the lig nuts the person that was using the impact gun Thought he was in a NASCAR Race and put the lug nuts in the socket and screwed them on the lugs with the impact gun. CROSS THREADED a lug. Now I have to replace the lug bolt. Maybe they should teach their people the START the lug bolts by hand FIRST. NOT GOING TO LET THEM TOUCH MY CAR EVER AGAIN. read more

My Husband and I have always had great service at this location. We have gotten his tires, my tires and our daughters tires there in the past. We recently were in to get another set of tires and the brakes done on my husbands truck. Again we were happy with the service. While we were there my husband asked if they could get my car in the following week for some new tires as well. We were told that it was no problem. The man behind the counter asked what size and my husband and I were both unaware so I went out to my car and took a picture of my tire. I brought it inside and showed the image to the clerk. He did some checking and said they had a Continental tire that would work for my car. He said that the price was $560. I said wow that seems really cheap. I said and that for a Chrysler 300 he said yes. He then asked if I had the C or S class I said I had the limited version. I said wow that is a great deal. He said he could get me in in a few days that they would have to order the tires. I said ok that great. I came in at my scheduled time and I was informed that they had sent the wrong tires for my car. That they had sent a 17 and my car was a 19. I said ok can we get the correct ones. He said not problem. I rescheduled the appt and went it on the day we had scheduled. When I got there I was told my tires would now be $1100.00 dollars. I asked why I was not told that the first time I came in. He said I don't know but that is what it is. Needless to say after taking two days off early from work to come in and get the tires and then being told that they would be double the price I declined. We have always had great service at this location but at this point I will not be coming back. I understand that mistakes happen but twice and then double the price is not acceptable. I called corporate and they said this was an independent store and there is nothing we can do. I must say I do not think we will do business with this location or any tires plus again in the future. read more

Do not go here! My mother has gone here twice and they have over charged her each time. She brings a valid coupon but they say they cannot take it. Both oil changes cost her $53 each (nothing else done). read more

The salesperson has no clue what he is doing. They are over priced and not trustworthy. The salesperson "Troy" tried to sell my wife ball joints for $1150 funny thing is they charged my ball joints 3 months ago and charged me $950.00. So I took my car to goodyear and they said my ball joints were good but I needed a tie rod. So then I took my car to my old mechanic Rick and guess what everything on my truck. His salesperson Jerry showed me that everything was good. Never will I go to tires plus or Goodyear again. Now I go to Kings Automotive. read more

It gets even worse. The TPMS light came on after my daughter left the shop to go to work. When she got home, I went to check the tire pressure. Three were at 35 psi, which is recommended, but the right front was at 51 psi, a dangerously high pressure. I also noticed that on the left front tire, I could see the "LF" marking on the tire. When the tires were removed last spring, the tire shop marked the position that each tire on was in, on the inside wall, of the tire so they could be properly rotated front to rear when they were remounted in the fall. Two things wrong with that: 1) it was placed in the same position on the car instead of being rotated to the rear, 2) These are Blizzack tires with a directional tread pattern and it was mounted on the rim backwards. The tire is plainly marked with "ROTATION" with an arrow. Either the employee was clueless, or just didn't care. Always good to blame the customer for the shop's problems. As far as the employee turnover rate, you are the one who gave the excuse " You know how hard it is to hire good employees?" At first you were not going to give a discount because you said that only applied to corporate stores. You told us to " read the fine print". You also over inflated one tire to 51 psi, mounted one directional tread tire backwards and didn't properly rotate them. You acted unprofessionally then, and still are by blaming the customer and ignoring the rookie and potentially dangerous mistakes you made. read more
