I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I brought my car in for a rear brake job with a 10:00 AM appointment and was told it would take a couple of hours. I specifically requested the upgraded brake pads and was assured they were in stock. By 1:00 PM, I still hadn't heard anything, so I called for an update. That's when I learned they didn't actually have the brake pads and had to order them. No one had bothered to call and let me know about the delay. I was then told it would be another 45 minutes. I had also requested a tire rotation and balance. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, there was confusion with the billing, and they had to redo the invoice. During that process, I discovered they had installed new rotors without ever contacting me for approval. Regardless of whether the rotors were needed, I would have expected a phone call before additional work was performed. To make matters worse, they never completed the tire rotation and balance I requested. Instead, they told me my tires were too worn and recommended nearly $1,000 worth of new tires. I had inspected the tires myself before bringing the vehicle in, and they still had plenty of tread remaining with only about 20,000 miles of use. Rather than discussing this with me during the service, they waited until I arrived to pick up the car. When I insisted on having the rotation and balance performed, I was told it would take another hour. At that point, my frustration level was through the roof. It was now past 2:00pm and my day was shot. They suggested I make another appointment to come back. I said no thank you, I will go elsewhere. What makes this experience especially disappointing is that I've had good service here in the past. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, unauthorized additional work, inaccurate information about my tires, and overall poor customer service have seriously damaged my trust. I have been using this location for about 15 years, never any issues. My last visit there was a gasket replaced by Tires Plus, but it leaked once I got the car home. The team at Tires Plus NE Hamilton Mill listened to my issue, had me bring the car back in, the team made the correction (no charge), and the car is back on the road again with no leaks. This is the Second time this location has cross threaded lug nuts on this truck. The first time the replaced the studs (yes plural). The last time I was in a crunch and had to use them for last minute tires. They replaced two front tires and I even requested to not install the lug nuts with an impact. Please start the install by hand then tighten. As you can see they didn't care to follow a simple request. Tires plus has lost my trust and business. Scheduled an appointment & when I went in it I was told I was not scheduled so I had to reschedule my appointment for the next day. When I did go in on my next appointment day the staff was very rude from the jump regarding my wheel alignment warranty. Still I remained calm & politely explained what was going on with my vehicle pulling to the right. When I was given my keys back I was basically brushed off & told they didn't see anything wrong & to "drive that & see how it feels" while abruptly walking away to get to other customers without even giving me a chance to say okay thank you. When I took it for a test drive the pulling conditions were worse than when I originally bought it in so of course I drove back & ask if someone could do a ride along. At this point the front desk guy began to yell in a very frustrated & defensively rant. They did say someone could ride along with me but it would take a while because they were busy & I was one of the first customers at 8am. I dropped off my wife's vehicle with requests to change the oil, rotate the tires, align the vehicle, and repair the left front tire. I received the expected call from "J" offering me other services on her crossover with 27k miles. His statement was emphatic and simple: You need new tires. I asked why. He said, "The Fronts have 1 to 3 mm left." I asked what this was in 32nds because I thought he must be confused, giving him a chance to think about this. His answer was 1 to 4/32nds of an inch. I declined this service. "J" abruptly thanked me and hung up. Here's the secret: Every Firestone/Tires Plus store has a daily budget of tires they need to sell from the corporation above the store, as well as bonus $ to managers and possible incentives to the salesperson. "J" was under pressure to sell tires. Know what you have before you go. The attached picture is the tire that was too worn to be repaired, and needed replacement according to this store. I measured with a tread depth gauge that was received from a Firestone store. I checked each tire at inner, center and edge of tread, and they were in the range of 5-7/32nds of an inch on each tread face. I only offer an initial of the salesperson, as I can't say if this was his idea, he was put up to it, or if it was a grand mistake. I'll choose to believe that he wasn't at fault, and not subject him to any embarrassment. read more

This location is extremely biased to females ! My friend went in for an oil change and was extremely overcharged. When the male next to her was faced with the same situation, she said she personally witnessed him being offered lower charges in comparison to what she was offered. They charged her over $100 for a simple oil change. She never specified that she wanted the highest quality oil change and they never asked in order to be sure. But with the male next to her she realized that they made certain to ask him what kind he wanted. Thank goodness my father was able to make his way up to them and make them lower the price ! SHAME on them for attempting to swindle my friend ! She did not need this as she is expecting a child very soon and is trying to save as much money as possible. Long review warning: Do not come here if you are a young woman. They will take advantage of you. I am a cardholder with Tires Plus. For a while, they have been my to go mechanics on my car. Never had a problem before now. I had my brakes and rotors replaced at their recommendation in February 2019. A few weeks later, I noticed a lot of noise when braking, so I called them. They said that it's standard with new brakes and give it a little while. Sure. Still making noise in July, and I went back to the shop. They performed a courtesy check and said nothing was wrong with them. They "cleaned them out really well" and that's why I'm experiencing the noise still. Give it a while longer, and the noise should go away. Sure. I called them again in November/December complaining about the noise. Same thing. I brought the car back in January, to have them look at it again. Now, according to them, my rotors have hotspots on them, and that there is nothing they can do about it. They offered resurfacing my rotors (I would have had to pay for this) for $100 and replacing the brake pads. After going back and forth, they agreed to compensate me for the brakes and resurfacing of the rotors. I picked up the car a few days ago and they did nothing to the rotors. I have new brake pads though. My car still makes a lot of noise when I brake. I didn't have squeaky brakes until I went to them for a brake job at their recommendation. I've been calling all year, and they will not do anything about it. There are other services I need done to my car, but I will never come here again. read more

For 3 years I visited the Tires Plus in Buford, Ga off Sardis Church Rd. I started questioning the service and honesty after having brakes replaced multiple times. Each time they told me something else was wrong. So I had rotors replaced, brakes were still bad. Went back they said now I needed new calibers,brakes were still bad. Went back again, they said one of the calibers was faulty and needed replacing. My brakes were still now working properly but at this point I had given up assuming it was just old car. Once I started having tire and brakes problem not long after this I went to another shop. I also began looking up my tires plus history to share with the new mechanics. They showed me that not all the calibers were changed (despite me telling tires plus repeatedly that my brakes were not working). And that everything needed to be replaced again. They took me to the back to show me. As I looked at my service history not only did feel I was scammed on work done on my car, but I had purchased a total of 8 tires in 2 to 3 year span (with road hazard) and was now on tires again 9 and 10. Not only is that a ridiculous short time needing tires but they never once gave me free or discount for the road hazard. Another kicker. I opened one of their tire plus cc to pay for these reoccuring fees. ***I've had everything replaced and fixed at Mavis tires on friendship rd. Took my Vette in for diagnostic to see why the car randomly shuts off after driving it for less than 5 miles. 2 weeks later they tell me it was the battery and to replace it that will be $350. After replacing the $350 battery the car shuts off again in the middle of the road not even a mile away. Not even sure if they did my alignment correctly because my car was swerving to the right when I got there and now it's going to the left? Ladies beware of this place! I had recently got new tires, front rotors, 4 new brake pads and my brakes works just fine. The person who worked on my car said I needed a master cylinder replacement and suggested I get it done right away. I knew right then that this place is scam. Please stop trying to scam your customers! I will not recommend this place to anyone and I'm definitely not coming back to this location. I even asked why do I need it and the person looks so guilty he can't even face me! First of all, my brake pedal does not sink to the floor, brake fluid is at the max, brake light isn't on, and do I need to go on? When I told that person I can't get it fix even if it needs to be replaced because I have to go to class, he looked mad. He even try to use the scare tactic by stating, "I would not recommend you driving that car because it's not safe if your brakes doesn't work." Wow? Like I said my brakes works just fine and it's pretty amazing that he can tell by just driving my car from the parking lot to the garage... I wonder how many people they've scammed. The price was a lot better than other quotes I got and there is no high pressure to upsell you at this store. That is an automatic turn off for me. I toke my car in for a brake job. Needed the rotors cut, had never been done before. Had no sounds or issues with braking. They told me that they needed to replace my rear rotors which was not as effected as my front rotors by the pads on my front. They complete the job and told me they tested the braking. I started my trip home and notice the brakes were knocking and squealing very high. I stopped and looked at the left rear rotor and saw a crack on the edge which had to be the reason for the knocking. I know they brought me the right side to show me the back of the rotor to show me the wear. I can only assume why they did not show me where cutting the lift side nipped the rotor. So now I had to pay for the rear rotors. I later realized they are linked by the same parent company as Firestone, a company that loosened the nut on my control arm after I took my car back in for a corrected alinement because my front wheels had gone bad after one week. After they corrected the alinement, They returned the car to and as I drove out of their lot my car was going 45 degrees to the left as Was holding my car steering wheel straight. I was more concerned taking my car back after knowing this is how tire plus had my name in their system with me having never used them before. read more

I have dealt with Jeremy on every occasion and I have been nothing but satisfied with him since the first time! Hence 3 stars! The first was when my Honda was in need of oil change. I brought it in minutes before closing and he did everything he could to take care of it! Had my Lexus aligned and now I am having to take it back in because of vibration. Very pleased with the customer service and commitment to getting the job done! Had a flat tire, needed 2 new tires and a couple other small things. Brought it in at 3pm and was told it should be ready around 6pm. However, they ordered a part and the wrong part was delivered so they sent their guy to get the right part so they could finish the job as promised. At 7pm, closing time, they told me that they would not leave until they got the job done. At 7:45, I got a call that it would be done by 8:00pm. When I arrived about 8:10 to get my car, the guy who had been keeping me posted, Jeremy, I believe, was there alone waiting on me. He was super nice about staying late and restated that he had promised me my car would be ready that day and he intended to make good on his word. I am very please with this place. I mean, these days, who does this - stays late to get the job done as promised?? Obviously these guys do. Thanks so much! I will do business here again. read more
