Their process seemed a little too good to be true. After getting various quotes from a range of others, the price was all over the place from too cheap to extraordinarily expensive. Dr. Wheel is on the lower side of the equation. The other thing, they come to your house. Say what? Got me wondering how solid of a repair we were looking at. Well, once I dug into the process, saw that the work is warranted for a year, I figured I'd give them a shot. First, we had them do two aftermarket wheels which relatively minor damage. The result was pretty incredible. The wheels looked good as new and honestly, I couldn't remember where the blemishes were . Months later the wheels looked great. Today, we got four wheels on my wife's car done, all with curb rash to a varying degree and the result was great. The challenge today wasn't the damage, it actually wasn't super complex or extensive. It was the color. From the factory, the color is pretty unique, but the Dr. Wheel team got it pretty much exactly. A special shout out to Jonathan, who came out to our house twice and did a great job. Friendly, professional, thorough, and just an all around solid dude. Not that I hope to get more curb rash on any of our wheels (nor do I wish that for you!), but if we do, we will definitely go back to them. We've already referred them to a few neighbors.

I had to fix the wheel and buy a new tire to enroll, but they suggested I contact Ace for the wheel. Within 20 minutes of texting a picture of the damage, I got a quote (totally reasonable) with date options. My technician Sergio was communicative and arrived on time. He finished the job in 10 minutes and did amazing work. He also told me to make sure I kept the damaged tire as it was not THAT bad and could be used as a spare or resold. Great Advice. My parents have also used West Coast a bunch of times. My car was having some pretty severe issues. I didn't need an appointment to come in, the car was fixed by the next day (we could have got it back the same day if we wanted, but we let them keep it overnight for some extra testing) They didn't try to upsell us at all. They mentioned a few things that they noticed needed done and when we said not now..they didn't push. And these were things that would be obvious with the work they were doing..they didn't go out of their way to pull out air filters or check unrelated things we didn't ask them to, like Subaru did. Everyone was super polite, professional, friendly, and very quick to answer whenever we called. We were in and out quickly for both drop off and pick up. It was extremely pricey, but what isn't these days. But also, I did have a lot of broken stuff. I am no longer allowed to drive it like it's stolen.

He asked if I meant the RE-71RZ, and I clarified that I specifically wanted the RE-71RS because that's what I currently have on my car. After that, I never received another response. Since I ended up getting the tires myself, I went on their website and scheduled an appointment to have two tires mounted and balanced. Greg then texted me asking me to confirm that I already had the tires before he could give me pricing. I responded right away, gave him the tire information, explained exactly what I needed, and also asked about an alignment. Hours went by and once again, no response. At this point, it just feels like I'm wasting my time trying to give them my business. I previously had an issue where my wheel valves were scratched during service, although, to their credit, they did replace the damaged one. Ever since that situation, though, the communication and service toward me have felt different. I can't say for sure if that has anything to do with it, but if a shop doesn't want my business, I'd rather they tell me instead of leaving me hanging. After being ignored by two different employees while simply trying to purchase tires and schedule service, I won't be returning, and I can't recommend them to my friends or other car enthusiasts that I know. I understand technical issues can happen, but that still doesn't explain my entire experience. I contacted Tom before this outage and after I clarified that I wanted the RE-71RS, I never received another response. Then when I scheduled through the website, Greg reached out to me directly asking for information and I replied immediately. From my perspective, I had already been having communication issues before yesterday's outage. Also, bringing up my other Yelp reviews has nothing to do with the service I received from your shop. My review is based on my actual experience trying to spend money with your business and repeatedly not getting a response. If the outage caused yesterday's delay, I'm willing to acknowledge that, but it doesn't erase the lack of communication that happened beforehand. He recommended replacing both rear tires instead of just patching the one, and I went with that. They had both tires swapped in about 15-20 minutes, which was way faster than I expected. Everyone working there was friendly and easy to deal with. Fun bonus: the walls are covered in photos of celebrities who've come through, and some of them even wrote personal messages to the shop. For some time now, I've been hearing very loud squeaking from my brakes, so I brought my car back to Davis Bros. I know some squeaking can be normal, but what I've been hearing sounded abnormal, and it was extremely loud. I felt the person who assisted me was really dismissive, but he had a mechanic check my brakes. I completely understand they are busy, and I had no issue waiting or leaving my car to come back later. About 10 minutes later, I was told my brakes were great; there was just dust and dirt they couldn't clean off. I responded, "Really? It seems so loud!" and he assured me everything was fine. Another customer in the waiting area called me "annoying," I guess because I was questioning their expertise. I have always trusted David Bros, but I knew something was not right. I took my car to another mechanic a few hours later, and it turns out that the shims were missing from the front pads. The shims were not missing before my brake service at Davis Bros in 2024. At the very least, they could have left the old shims in. I'm really disappointed the shop didn't fully replace the parts during my last brake service, and even more disappointed they didn't catch it when they rushed me out this week. Again, I understand they are busy, and my brakes may not be a big deal compared to all of the other services being provided that day, but this experience has completely turned me off from returning.

I ended up doing serious damage to my Mercedes AMG rims. The gouge was deep. I was worried the wheels would never look the same again. Thankfully, I found Tom. He came to my home and repaired the damage that didn't require a CNC machine on-site. The rim with deep gouge needed specialized CNC machining to restore the original finish, so he personally removed the wheel, put on my spare, took it for the repair, brought it back, and reinstalled it. I didn't have to take my car anywhere or coordinate with another shop. The results were fantastic! The rims are flawless! What I appreciate is the convenience of his mobile service and his ability to handle both cosmetic repairs and more complicated repairs that require specialized equipment. If you want an immaculate job and super honest, fair pricing, Tom is your guy. I'm so happy I found him!
