They are amazing! Details in the designs is top notch with friendly service and atmosphere.

I read other reviews and while I understand some comments about cleanliness and details it is not severe in my opinion. Pricing was very good compared to the small towns around me. I have a couple slight smudges by toes but hard to see. The touch of the young male technician was very nice. I don't like a heavy hand... I have been to 4 salons so far in Northern Iowa and overall this is probably thr best so far. The equipment, chairs etc are pretty new, fairly clean. The floor could use some work on the edges and because of the type of work they do with grinding, etc there is some dust around the nail tables. To each their own, but I enjoyed my time. My friend was able to get some designs done too. read more

Very disappointed in the pedicure I just received. There was actual dead skin hanging from my toes and I had to ask the gal to touch a few things up, letting her know I was not happy, and she didn't even take the time to do a good job at that either. The paint job literally looks like a child did it and one of my big toes was left looking jagged. My toes looked better before I went in than when I left. The only reason this review gets 3 stars is because if the pedicure. She did a great job. She was not great at doing art on the big toe. So she was good when I said it was okay. Well worth the 25 dollars I spent for French Tip. The mani was done horribly. He didn't even soak my fingers and I wanted him to buff my nails and he did not he basically filed them and didn't even cut the cuticles. So I've been here several times to give it a chance but nope. They didn't scrub my feet at all so then for a week afterwards I was peeling nonstop and it was awful because she didn't scrub at all to get the dead skin off. Then I got terrible ingrown toenails and it ripped half my toenail off so now I have half a toenail on my big toe. And also the paint job wasn't very good and they never set a timer or anything and never even said thank you or had common manners. NO! I went in to get my acrylics off so it wasn't painful at home if I did it myself. Right as I sat down, I told the lady about my cracked nail that was split down the middle. She ignored it & aggressively took off my nail polish, so when it came to the nail I had pointed out SHE RIPPED MY NAIL OFF!!! Also, in the back of the salon, there was a baby crib & rocket with a baby in it. All those chemicals aren't good for us to breathe in, let alone an infant! read more

Visiting from out of town for a wedding, made appointment four days in advance for four of us (big group which is def why I called in too) and told them we needed to be done by a specific time. Now, this may just be because I'm young and pretty hard on my nails, but there is this one woman I went to for the first two times I got my acrylics, and after got them filled. Was never really unhappy with how she did my nails, just glue on my finger sometimes. This last time I went though, there was another woman I was with. The woman did very sloppy, and literally right whenever I walked out my nail broke on the ride home. Also, I'm pretty young (13), and when my nails were pretty much done being filled my mom said that I can just walk out whenever I'm done, which I replied with "Oh, you paid?" (I usually pay considering I won about 100 dollars off a lotto ticket and I get allowance) and the woman said "No, you pay yourself." I'm really sensitive, and she said it in a bit of a rude manner, so just thought I would mention this. read more

I had gotten my toes done here and they looked amazing BUT my daughter and one of her friends came in soon after to get acrylics done. My daughter had forgotten her money so she asked me to pay for her nails. Before I left I had paid for both of our nails. My daughter told them that I paid for her and they refused to let her leave. She had to call me while I was at work so the workers could ask me if I paid for her. We got our pedicure chairs within 5 minutes and then proceeded to sit here completely ignored for over 45 minutes at which point we got up and left. Will never go back again. read more

I took my daughter here for her 13th birthday for each of us to get manicures. Something fun! The lady who did mine was rude and kept remarking on my nails. She also asked me to pay upfront before she would complete my manicure. My daughters manicure was very bubbly and when she asked the lady who did hers about it, she was told that she could redo them but she would have to pay again! I wish I could rate zero stars, but I will settle for one. I get my nails and toes done regularly, so when I came to Mason City to visit a family member in the hospital, I decided to get my nails done. I scheduled an appointment for myself and a few of my nieces. My appointment was at 11 am, but I had my sister take two of the girls first, since it would take me a few more minutes to arrive from the hospital. My sister walked in at 11:03 am, but she had been in the parking lot since 10:45 am. There were at least 5 people getting pedicures, and a two people getting their nails done (they had stated that they open at 11:00 am when we made the appointment). When I arrived at 11:10 am my sister was waiting since the place was full. We asked how long it would be, since I would be leaving for the airport and they didn't look like we would even be serviced within the next 45 min. The nail tech (and possibly the owner) said he didn't know and if we wanted service, I should have been on time. I stated that my sister had been there, and three of them could have been started already. They clearly shouldn't have made appointments if they were full, and they had to have known in advance, because the place had customers before the time it was advertised to open. He made a few rude comments, and my sister asked him why he was so rude and why he would treat customers that way. I could not believe the horrible customer service and the comments that were coming out of his month. I told everyone we were leaving and that I would never give my business to someone so rude. I had heard from a friend that place was known to be rude, and had heard of negative experiences, but I went here because they were the only place I found advertised to be open at 11 am on a Sunday. I will not make that mistake again. Listen to people when they tell you about bad experiences. It is worth it to spend your hard earned money on a place with good customer service. This was the rudest I have ever been treated at a nail shop. I will never come to Tips and Toes again. read more

Highly wouldn't recommend, costumer service sucks and it takes a really long time. The only reason I have come back is because I don't like anywhere else's quality.
