This is in regards to the daycare facility. My daughter attended there from April 12 to June 7th…read moreand I would not suggest this facility to anyone. My daughter is 2 and we had issues with Ms. Mary from the start. This was my daughters first time attending a childcare facility and she still took a pacifier at night for comfort. Well when she started going to FACA she wanted to bring her pacifier which makes sense as it was a lot of change. Well Ms. Mary called me to tell me my daughter was crying a lot during the first week and what could she do to comfort her, I mentioned giving her the pacifier to calm her down and Ms. Mary informed me it is against the Louisiana state law that she has one after 2 years old. It isn't a law, I researched daycare/childcare/ preschool laws and regulations within the state of Louisiana and there is nothing in regards to this "law" nor is it in their new parent handbook. Secondly, I had received a call that my daughter was having symptoms of pink eye. I immediately picked her up and asked if there was a case of pink eye at the facility. They informed me than that there was in fact a case of pink eye in my daughters class a week and a half prior to my daughter getting it but no parents were informed of this. Thirdly, I was picking up my daughter when the girl who helps with the sign in and sign out let me know that something funny happened today that my daughter was pushed for "staring" (Not so funny if you ask me). I received the end of day report from Ms. Mary where she let me know that my daughter who remind you is TWO has started to get really bad at staring at teachers and the other kids. That the other kids don't like it and in result push my daughter. How is that okay? So my daughter is being reprimanded for "staring" when she has no clue what staring is or means but the kids pushing my daughter are not ? I decided to withdrawal my daughter from this facility because my daughter wasn't being cared for the way she should be. I was giving the director a 2 week notice per the agreement in the registration. She informed my my daughter was already removed from the roster and that if I needed care the next day that she couldn't guarantee a spot and that I would have to pay a registration fee again. I have not once said any of this prior or been unpleasant with the staff. I feel people need to be aware of this because these individuals are caring for our children. I provided the end of day report so everyone can see for themselves.

I would leave a negative star if I could! Horrible school. Hey everyone! Just wanted to let y'all…read moreknow about my experience with First Assembly Christian Academy. First, I was trying to find a school for my son, who turns 4 after September 30th, that actually teach. I was IN VA before moving here and as well all know PCSing once school has started can be a challenge. This school had a spot and seemed good. Everything happened in a span of 2 weeks. First day my son comes home with scratches. I'm thinking boys will be boys and maybe he had fun. My husband was dropping him off and witness a teacher moving a child out the way and stating "I can not deal with this today". At that point my husband was like where is the emotional support. You're a teacher how can you not deal with this. Another time he runs to us and a chuck of skin is missing from his finger and he is bleeding. The teacher didn't know how it happen and wasn't going to say anything until my son said it. I know this because we was talking to the teacher and then my son came up and told us. By then the blood had ran all down his finger and was dried up. Our last straw with the school was when my child came home with a bite mark on his back that broke skin. He is telling us what happened and at this point I'm furious because the teacher did not inform us of an incident! At this point I feel no one is doing there job and neglecting my child. We reach out and try talking to the teacher. And her defense is she can not tell us about another child. It is against the law. BUT at this point the front desk has already told about this child and all the accidents he has caused. Then the teacher goes in to say well he didn't tell me. Just trying to protect herself. As of now we pulled my son out the school but I was calling to talk to the Director and/ or owner. But they gave me the run around hung up In my face. Moral of the story is do not send your child to this school. It is very unprofessional and most importantly not a safe environment.
