Everyone seemed very nice and although everyone was masked and provided appropriate safety measures on the tour, my child's teacher and at least two other individuals that work here do not believe in wearing a mask to protect the vulnerable children during this deadly pandemic. We had to un-enroll her after just two days here. To me, this demonstrated a poor lack of judgment among other things. Why wouldn't you want to protect the children you're teaching? I spoke with the director and she apologized and refunded all of our money. The issue with the staff not masking is complicated as they claimed a religious exemption to masking (which isn't a real thing)! We're two years into his pandemic. Wearing a mask isn't hard. I'm a nurse and wear one all day while caring for patients. It's not hard to protect yourself and others. It amazes me that I even have to write this right now but I want others to be aware before enrolling here in case keeping their children safe at preschool is a concern for them.

The caregivers in the infant room were so caring and fun. I loved that Ms. Simone always talked constantly to the babies. My daughter was very attached to Ms. Ellen. We were only there for 6 months due to a move. We miss this Martha and Mary and all the staff though!

I worked at previous day cares in my hometown and this one has been my favorite so far. The director (Ms Anna) and program manager (Ms Cassy) are some really amazing, kind hearted people. They always have the best interest of the kids in mind, you can tell they are really in it for the best reasons! There were tons of areas for me to grow and learn as a worker there. I was able to work with almost every age group (which was THE BEST part). The community of workers here was also my favorite part. Everyone who worked here while I did was exactly what I would want in a childcare for my child. Loving, caring people with the ability to teach and adapt to different children's learning styles. He was promoted to Toddler 2 a bit earlier than expected, and there was turnover with twice the amount of kids, and I felt he got lost in the chaos since he was well-behaved. He was bitten twice and started crying every time I dropped him off. Additionally, when I decided to pull him out for good and picked up his personal items, they told me they lost his lovey and that he hadn't been sleeping with it for months. Would've been nice to know so I could've sent a new one so he had some comfort! Wasn't for us - perhaps they have better teachers now, but Toddler 2 was a hot mess when we attended.

My children are in elementary school now, and I continue to see my decision to place my kids at Knowledge House to be an excellent one. My kids started kindergarten academically ahead of their peers, and having already developed the social skills necessary for elementary school. They could work well with others, treat each other and adults with respect, and solve problems peacefully. I see the influence of their education at Knowledge House sneaking out in all sorts of positive ways: they shake hands with people and are confident when sharing their ideas, they include others in their play and notice when someone is left out, they love to explore and learn new things, and they use many different ways to solve problems. To add to all of that, despite the fact that many of their former classmates at Knowledge House attend different elementary schools, the kids still play together at playdates and we still talk with our former Knowledge House families. Mark and Valerie make this preschool a place for children to grow and learn at their own pace, and where children develop a sense of community and self-confidence.

Our child has been at Silverwood school for the past 4 years. We love it there. He loves the teachers, that they spend so much time outside, and all the field trips and learning opportunities they have. We love that every staff person knows each child by name, loves and cares deeply about their growth and success. The school is able to meet each child where they are at, be that academically with advanced math, or socially and emotionally.
