All children attending child care deserve a positive, consistent, warm and nurturing educational environment. At Central Valley Child Care we strive to create a peaceful environment where children are encouraged to function independently, be respectful of themselves, others and the environment, and learn to make positive choices. Parent communication is a very important part of our work with children. Our teachers talk with parents daily about their child's progress and will always look to parents for insight and advice on how to best work with their child. Our CurriculumOur Preschool classes use The Creative Curriculum when planning our learning activities. Our classrooms are designed for independent learning opportunities. Curriculum is planned around the developmental needs and interests of the children enrolled in our Preschool. Children in our care will learn and grow socially, emotionally, physically, and academically through the structure of the environment, play and age appropriate learning activities. Our long term goal for each child is for them to be socially and academically ready for Kindergarten. Please visit our website by clicking the link above, or call us for more information!

From the moment I connected on the phone with Tammy (who has sadly moved on to another job since then)I knew this was where we were meant to be. She and all the staff Made us feel so welcome from the start. My daughter loves going to school each day and has flourished since starting here. As an educator myself it makes me so happy to see her love her teachers and have such a positive first school experience. I know she is in great hands when I am working. I am honestly shocked that they do not have a higher star rating. I know not every preschool is a fit for everyone so you have to find what works for you, but If you are looking for childcare in the Kitsap area I urge you to check them out for yourself. I know I didn't regret it. Thank you Central Valley Child Care for all you do! Ps: My daughter would like to leave her own review. She says "I like school. I like when I play games. They do some dancing."

We were reassured that they would work with him, support his progress, and that there was no need for concern. However, after only three days of attendance, we received a phone call at pickup informing us--without any prior warning or discussion--that it would be his last day. If you have a 3-year-old with similar behavioral challenges, I would recommend taking their assurances with caution and making sure you have a backup plan in place, as unfortunately we did not. If there was an option for 0 stars I'd pick that.

I faced a lot of discrimination, snarky commentary as a parent when I picked my kid up. Even my daughter got mistreated a few times. Steer away from this location they don't treat the kids well. Also food, they give the kids many sugary items at the end of the day before they send them home. Every day is a meltdown day.

Everyone seemed very nice and although everyone was masked and provided appropriate safety measures on the tour, my child's teacher and at least two other individuals that work here do not believe in wearing a mask to protect the vulnerable children during this deadly pandemic. We had to un-enroll her after just two days here. To me, this demonstrated a poor lack of judgment among other things. Why wouldn't you want to protect the children you're teaching? I spoke with the director and she apologized and refunded all of our money. The issue with the staff not masking is complicated as they claimed a religious exemption to masking (which isn't a real thing)! We're two years into his pandemic. Wearing a mask isn't hard. I'm a nurse and wear one all day while caring for patients. It's not hard to protect yourself and others. It amazes me that I even have to write this right now but I want others to be aware before enrolling here in case keeping their children safe at preschool is a concern for them.
