BLUF: Paul comes across as a professional charismatic business owner, however I paid cash and then he ghosted me after I discovered his team damaged new custom racing seats (worth $14,000) during my tint installation. DO NOT bring high-end vehicles to this small business. Instead, choose a larger company with routine experience on premium vehicles. You may pay more at a larger business, but you're vehicle will be serviced correctly the first time. (Long Review) I usually go out of my way to support veteran or black-owned businesses, it's unfortunate this will be the last time I do so after experiencing yet another janky experience from this demographic. I used Paul before for window tinting on my house, his team did a great job and I figured he'd do a fine job on my dream car. The dealership recommended their own tint and PPF shop, but I was sure Paul would take care of me. After taking delivery of my new car, I brought it to Paul for his service. I spent around $3k for tint and PPF, yet Paul failed to QA/QC the work from his team. I acknowledge mistakes will happen, however he kept my new car for 5x days only to release it to me with multiple mistakes present. I've had tint and PPF on cars before and it only took one day, but I trusted Paul's judgment. I'll give him credit, he took accountability for the mistakes and offered to fix every issue. Per Paul's request, I paid him in cash and he asked me to come back next week to review the tint and PPF confirming everything adhered to its surface. After taking the car home, I noticed the seats were damaged with deep creases and muddy footprints on the back of my carbon bucket seats. The installer neglected to properly care for the interior while installing the window tint. In addition, the driver-side window made a "crunchy" sound when rolled down after the tint cured. I immediately messaged Paul and he gave me a call the next day asking me to come to the shop. Paul was happy to review my problems and made note of everything. He even brought out his installers for some real-world training on what not to do... Of course I didn't like my car being used for training purposes, but I appreciated him trying to train his inexperienced staff. We also discussed the leather seat repair and he requested I secure a quote from the dealership. He then told me his admin clerk would give me a call the following day to set up a new appointment... she never called. I tried helping out Paul by not only securing the dealership quote but also securing two third-party local leather repair quotes. The admin clerk followed up with me a few days later to bring my car back for service. I chose to bring the car back the same day they texted me around noon. Paul appeared to be stressed and wanted to drive me back to work IN MY CAR after I had driven to his business... for unknown reasons, he would not use his company vehicle to take me back to work and he declined to offer his pickup service. Once again, he wanted to keep my car overnight and pick-up tomorrow; again not offering to pick me up. Paul did a great job with repairing the window tint and PPF, but he avoided speaking to me. His admin clerk secured my car and brought it to the front of the building. The car looks better but Paul ruined the new dream car experience for me. Before bringing my car to Paul, he would promptly answer all of my calls and text messages. It's the weirdest experience when these types of people have a change in demeanor after they've got your money. Soon after paying Paul, my calls would go to voicemail and he stopped replying to my text. Paul's admin clerk will sometimes text for him so you never know who is replying to you. All in all, I don't think Paul is a bad guy but his lack of professionalism in addressing an issue caused by his team is only kicking the can down the road. I've now had to seek legal counsel and prepare for court, this could've all been avoided if he chose to pick up the phone. read more

Absolutely terrible tint job. There is sticker residue under the tint, and the cut outs look like they were done with a bread knife. They used sharpie to try to fill in the gaps in the tint. If I could give 0/5 stars I would. I will absolutely NEVER recommend Tint Technologies to anyone and will ensure to mention not to use them if someone ever asks. Paul is not a man of his word and feels that he is more important than his clients. I scheduled an appt, was quoted $369, and was called the day before saying that an employee was drinking on the job and was fired (none of my business and should have never been told to a client). This would mean they would need my car longer since they were a man down, which I said was absolutely no problem. A few hours later he called back to tell me that said employee was threatening to come back with a firearm and harm the employees and potential clients (also none of my business and not something you tell potential clients). This resulted in him canceling my appointment entirely. Three weeks later I had to call them to reschedule. Never heard from Paul or his team about apologizing or rescheduling. At this point I had to schedule another appt for 3 weeks later. He told me that prices had gone up and the price would now be $399. To which I told him that I was quoted $369 and that should be honored. He stated he would need to run some numbers and would get back to me if he could honor this price. A few hours later he called and said he could honor the price, but wanted to be transparent stated that material costs had gone up. During the time frame waiting for my appt I received a voicemail from a woman in the office saying she needed to speak with me about my car? I called back 6 minutes later to which Paul answered stating that no one called me and that he has had the phone himself the entire morning... He insisted that this did not happen and that no one had called me. I still have the voicemail proving they did. Today I showed up at 7:50am and was told that the price would be $50 more since I wanted 5%. This was discussed both times I made my appt's and was quoted $369 twice. Now the price is $419? Not $369, not $399 but $419? This was the last straw for me. As a business owner, not honoring your word and letting clients walk away is a red flag. When I told him I would take it somewhere else he didn't hesitate and stated that was my choice and walked away. Will absolutely never support this business. This place is a hidden gem. I called every tint shop in the springs and everyone was booked a month out. The last one I called was tint technologies and they could get me in, in just 4 days! The back window on a golf is one of the hardest windows in the industry and they made sure I knew that. After 2 attempts on the first day the tech seemed kinda flustered and I was left with multiple air pockets, Paul (the owner) told me to wait it out because they might go away after 30 days. But frankly I couldn't wait 30 days because the car was being shipped to Germany in a couple weeks. I ended up calling Paul and he told me to bring it in the following Monday. If I could give negative stars I would. They do not keep their word and they do not care for the customer as much as they want you to believe. I brought in my high end care to have my windows tinted. they could not figure out how to take off factory tint on a BMW. They decided to put tint over top of the existing tint. When I went to pick up my car they told me that the tint took well and I shouldn't have any issues and that if anything should happen they would "take care of me". Not 6 months later the tint they put on his pealing and cracking off. I made another appointment to have these issues resolved with no luck. I want to start off by saying that this is not a knock on Tint Technologies work, they have always done good work on my cars. They did put the incorrect tint shade on a 1999 Tacoma of mine last year (July 2020), but it was still good work both times they did it. No apology from them though, as I recall they were frustrated with me but I still gave them a 5 star review with the fancy pics to show off their work. Now, if you look at the picture I posted, you will see receipts for two jobs I've had done through them on the same car in the past year. I've done five transactions with them total in the past four years (four vehicles). The job done back in December was tint all around (5 windows including the back) for $320.00 and the job done last week, two windows (technically 1 & 1/4 because one was an eyebrow on the windshield) for $288.00. I asked Paul to do a second layer of tint on the back window and the eyebrow on the windshield. They did a good job on the tint, as always, and I made sure Paul knew that. I didn't ask him for a quote beforehand because the prices had always been fair in my opinion. He told me the price when I picked up my car and I was surprised and a little taken back, I was happy with the job so I reasoned with myself. I went home and checked my receipt for the job he had done on the same car 9 months ago and I was blown away. I thought about leaving it alone, but I felt betrayed. The math didn't add up on this job. How does 1 & 1/4 windows equal almost as much as tint for five windows when you factor in labor, materials and all ON THE SAME CAR NO LESS? I called Paul up the following Monday to discuss this, I also let him know that after so many five star reviews, I would unfortunately have to make a bad review. He accused me of black mail lol. I told him the truth. I said "Paul, this isn't about black mailing you, I just wanted to do the right thing and tell you beforehand, you can think whatever you want but I feel that a disservice has been done to me as one of your loyal customers and I feel obligated to let you know that instead of blindsiding you". I told him that he probably used $10.00 in materials because if your smart, you are purchasing 100+ yards of tint at wholesale prices, meaning if it took you one hour to do two windows I paid you $278.00 an hour and if you took two hours, then I still paid you $139.00 an hour.. I wonder what doctors are making an hour nowadays? You just can't explain such a price jump. He gave me the whole marketing line of " well.. shipping delays and rises in costs because of Covid blah blah blah" Ummm, both jobs were performed in the midst of Covid as far as I can tell, so that's a little debunked right off the bat. Paul you are the owner of your own business! Meaning, you should have been able to give me exact numbers to the pricing of your tint and have given me a valid excuse to why your pricing was so astronomically different. He did ask me if I had ever owned a business during our conversation, I that was a humorous. I don't know too much in that regard but I would consider losing customers to be a bad scenario for scaling a business. Next thing, this is a little on me, I should have asked for a quote beforehand, I'll be honest about that. I also think it's fair to expect that a business owner who appreciates and respects his loyal customers to give them a heads up when pricing is a "little" inflated, would've been thoughtful I think. I'll finish this review with a little ego flex. I have given them three, five star reviews, of which every time I have uploaded fancy "edited" pictures of my cars and at least a paragraph of detailed information on my experience. I could have been lazy and not worried about it, but I felt it was the right thing to do. I have told multiple people about their great work and the awesome staff that worked there. Lastly and because I'm slightly OCD, I would clean my car inside and out before every tint job to make sure their job was as painless as possible. I know how one piece of hair or lint can set you back on a tint job. Anyways, I think where I'm getting at is that I've been a good customer, but just because you give respect, doesn't always mean you will get it in return. Bought a new vehicle with the help of Ronnie Haskins at Autosearch/USA. Ronnie sent me over to Spoiler Dude off of Powers Blvd. & Galley Rd. Spoiler Dude shares office & garage space with Bear Automotive. You have to go through Bear Automotive's Front Door to get to Spoiler Dudes' Office. I set-up an 8:00 am appointment with Barbara in the office. Arrived at 7:55 am on the day of the appointment, Dave meet me in the office. We went out to look at the vehicle and discuss the options and possibilities. Ended up getting an 18" Clear Bra for the front hood and clear film over the headlights. In & Out within an 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Dave did a Beautiful Job at a Very Reasonable Price. Both Barbara and Dave were very personable as well as professional in explaining the does and don'ts of the 3M Product.
