I can't say enough good things about this place! It was easy to find and the salon is in an old beautiful Victorian house that's so quaint. I'm shocked that there are no reviews for Headlines! This is an institution in Cape May Court…read moreHouse. I went to Headlines 20 years ago for my first set of highlights for my senior photos with Pete. Throughout high school and college, Pete took care of my hair with carefully applied highlights and amazing cuts. He also created beautiful updos for school dances, proms and my sister's wedding. Fast forward to pandemic times. I escaped New York City for some time at my parents' house. I had not had a haircut in 7 months, and my hair needed a healthy chop. I felt incredibly safe at the salon. Hand sanitizer at every station, and everyone was masked. In 30 minutes, I had a beautiful and stylish new cut to last me for the summer. Their (new-to-me!) location is spacious, complete with a parking lot in the back!

She was kind, informative about the process and her plan. Got a blow out (even though raining- came prepared with a hat and hoodie). I love it. She was also the first stylist who did not look at me funny when I specifically requested no Redkin products as they irritate my scalp. Investing in self care is soul food. Everyone was friendly music was on but not too loud. Neither were any of the other conversations that were being had.

The owner tried to fix it and told me to come back 3 months later and she would cut/fix it on the house. I returned the call and still haven't heard back. I don't like to bash businesses but the way I have been treated is unacceptable. Btw- the owner also yelled at me when she was trying to fix my hair and teach the woman who cut my hair what she did wrong, because I tried to say something.
